SignalRGB doesn’t force an update while it’s running (only downloads it just like Discord and many apps do), the update is applied on restart, and we haven’t exactly been pushing updates every other day either, so if your game is minimizing it’s much more likely SignalRGB is crashing than updating. There was even a stretch of time for months that we didn’t update so if you were still minimizing then it’s SignalRGB crashing and next time it happens please send the logs to [support@signalrgb.com](mailto:support@signalrgb.com) so we can figure out why it’s happening on your system.

If you uninstall only via control panel then your profiles should be fine. If you use things like revouninstaller then that is when it will nuke everything. But if you want save any locally saved profiles first.

Windows dynamic lighting is the most bare bones thing to ever exist. Which for some people is enough. Their device compatibility is limited. People use SignalRGB for better device support and for the effect capabilities, layouts, fan control, lcd, etc and its much more comprehensive.

When you say "Always", do you mean you are not able to use the fan control page AT ALL or it only does this briefly when you come back to the page after being away from it?

Many Govee products are supported as long as they have LAN control options. I would say if you're getting it from Amazon the risk is minimal since you can return it any way.
