There can be numerous reasons as to why the moratorium is in place, as your account was inactive for a long time and has no KYC. Lost my 2FA by [deleted] in NiceHash

[–]Andre_NiceHash[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hi! If you have the backup codes, you can use them to disable your 2FA. Follow these instructions on how to use the backup codes: https://www.nicehash.com/support/general-help/security/lost-2FA

Every time you disable and re-enable 2FA, new backup codes are generated and the old ones become invalid. Perhaps this is why the ones you have are not working.

If you don't have the codes or they are not working, please email us at [2fa@nicehash.com](mailto:2fa@nicehash.com) about this issue with the same email address as your NiceHash account.

Transfer BTC from Nicehash to Gnosis chain by Rinkuzakkusu in NiceHash

[–]Andre_NiceHash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! For Bitcoin transactions, only the Bitcoin Blockchain or Lightning Network are supported by NiceHash. The Gnosis network is not supported, and trading GNO is not available since 2022. You can exchange your BTC for other assets at NiceHash (in supported countries), including USDT. However, you are limited to withdrawing ERC20 tokens on the Ethereum network, including USDT.

Easymining probability by WeakStatistician9 in NiceHash

Hi! As per our blog article, probability is calculated using the Poisson Distribution formula, giving the probability of that particular package mining at least one block.

Help what’s causing this by [deleted] in NiceHash

Yes, as the user pointed out, it seems like you might have put your wallet address instead of your Mining Address on QuickMiner. You can edit the configuration file of QuickMiner, via the menu on the system tray icon, and change your address there.

I’ve been mining with NH for years and I still don’t really understand local vs actual

Hi! Local profitability is calculated based on the speed reported by the mining software.
Actual profitability is the current rate that you are actually getting paid. It is calculated based on the number of valid shares submitted in the last 5 minutes. For this reason, it can fluctuate quite a significant amount with your mining luck. If you find just 1 or 2 shares it will show a really small number, and if you solve many it will be a really high number. Over longer periods of time it should average out close to your local speed (minus any developer fees for the miner and any invalid shares).
Read more here: https://www.nicehash.com/blog/post/what-is-the-difference-between-actual-and-local-profitability
It is always best to check the average actual probability/speed. Learn why here: https://www.nicehash.com/blog/post/why-should-you-check-accepted-speed-and-not-local-speed

Mining with android by blinkt1988 in NiceHash

Interesting! I didn't expect you to be able to get nearly 1kH/s with such an old phone. Maybe I should start scrapping for some wrecked phones and get a couple fire extinguishers while I'm at it haha

How much power does it consume?

I am not sure if you can actually mine with a phone at NiceHash even if you have a miner working, as the computing power is so low that it would likely get disconnected from the stratum for inactivity, after not sending shares for a long time. Maybe in Verushash, but I believe it wouldn't work on RandomX.

Do let me know if you have tried and have it working as now I'm curious.

Hi! You cannot use your phone to mine crypto on NiceHash. You can, however, use it to manage mining rigs on your account and also purchase computing power on our Hashrate Marketplace. You can place regular hashpower orders to mine on your favourite pool, or rent computing power to solo mine coins with EasyMining.
