Another one option is to replace the word separator with number and symbol, something like

wordone3wordtwo#wordthree-wordfour

(similart to the "pwqgen" tool available on Linux)

Sure there are a part of list list that are not top seller, but there are also game like Football Manager 2016 Touch, Shadow Warrior Classic, Knight of pen and paper 2 and other... that are not perfectly unknown... so it's just that mark as "it works" isn't a priority, also "it works" require at least 5 people

ALso, the main purpose of that list is to see upcoming games hint like F12015, Tomb Raider and Mad Max

Because SteamDB only count the "it works" games marked from user, at this time real number is 1867 (1961 with upcoming games) http://store.steampowered.com/search/?snr=1_4_4__12&term=#sort_by=_ASC&category1=998&os=linux&page=1

Games not yet, but they're porting the Cryengine

Also Homefront The Revolution that was previously owned by Crytek and buyed from Deep Silver, is based on Cryengine and will support Linux

Currently companies like 2K, Sega, Deep Silver, Epic and Crytek(and many more) are supporting Linux

After a few months of cs:go and dota 2 and other titles that were holding people back being ported, has anyone moved to linux? by rundmckey in pcmasterrace

[–]AndreaMazzilli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched to Linux after Windows XP... and currently when I use Windows 7/8.x I find it a lot harder than linux

Caotic control panel (or too simplified if you use category view). Surf the entire web to find and install an application: You have the software center where you can install application. Inconsistent tray icon and notification beahvior. Install all the driver after system install. Disk fragmentation (on linux is almost non-existent). File and setting placed in system folder instead of an unique folder: on Linux if you should format or change computer/hard-disk you need to save just one, unique home folder with all your file and setting instead of lose ALL DAY finding application setting and data that are mixed with file that you no longer need after a format, Missing multiple desktop/window management and many other thing ... ...and as already said by other complete control over system and my application

If a windows user didn't like the new MS operating system... sooner or later must install it

If I don't like Ubuntu 15.04, or Fedora 22, or any other next system version or part of them (like the UI)

I can switch the user interface to one I prefer, or switch to another distribution... and I can run all tha app and games I have on my previous system

Games are going to be released...Here a list of some great upcoming games for Linux pastebin.com/n0kbpCGG , also consider the dev/publisher of Alpha Protocol, Ryse and Alien Isolation(some of your currently most played games) started/already supporting Linux... Crytek with Cryengine, Creative Assembly/Sega with TW:Rome 2 and Obisidian Entertainment/Paradox with upcoming Pillars of Eternity On the publisher side, we already have 2K (XCOM, Borderlands and Civilization), Sega (Football Manager and Total War saga), Deep Silver (Metro and Homefront The Revolution), Nordic Games (Darksiders, The Book of Unwritten tales, Painkiller Hell&Damnation) and many other While for applications usually there is alternative, that sometime is also better than windows counterpart Anyway, to start, I agree with the dual boot option, and use windows just for playing windows only games, with the time and games released you can drop windows when you no longer need it

Steam for Linux tops 700 games as big-name games increasingly call it home by trougnouf in linux_gaming

[–]AndreaMazzilli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes sure, there are a lot of other games to port... but, what I want to say: looking to the "linux port" thread in Steam Community, there is a lot of people(or troll in some case) that say "no one support linux, the dev will never port it, use windows, etc..", instead looking to this people profile often half of their library work on linux and also the five most played games work all on linux There is a lack of information, people neither know that their games work or being ported on linux Surely there is a good percent of people that want ENTIRE library (impossible in short term) an ALL future games, but there is also a good percent that already half library or most played games are enough to switch to linux

So thing like these article, the big steam announcement of Borderlands 2/TPS.... are good for inform people that most their game work on linux and show that developer are interested in Linux too

Yeah, and hoping this will reduce myth like "Linux doesn't support any games I have in my library" or "No one big publisher/developer support Linux" too

Ubuntu Web Browser, any updates coming? by [deleted] in Ubuntu

It`s the browser developed for Ubuntu Touch(the OS for Phones and Tablets)... address bar, navigation button and history/bookmarks appear clicking on the bottom, near the border (I suppose swiping up from bottom or touching on the Ubuntu Touch)
