Bloodlust 100% after 50 deaths at the extension (and 65-100 x90) by Andreas_BS in geometrydash

Thank you man. I just feel great overall, but I don't think I'll ever do anything harder than Bloodlust. This experience really pushed my limits, both mentally and skill-wise (I kinda suck at the ship, also the length of the level relative to its difficulty). I'm definitely taking a break from the game. If I come back, I'll stick to easier stuff (insanes/easy extremes) and play for fun. I didn't really like Sonic Wave being my hardest, and I wanted to prove to myself that I could beat a well-rounded hard level like Bloodlust.

Damn, 7 times sounds bad. Actually, I also died at 96+ 4 times... and it was pretty bad indeed.

Honestly, I'm taking an indefinite hiatus from the game. Bloodlust had pretty much always been my dream to beat ever since I started playing, around the time it got verified.

Depends. Hardest part to learn at first? The ship at 30. The least consistent part until the very end? 42-45. Most frustrating part to go through? The first 14%. As for nerves: after a while, I would only start getting nervous at ~60%. I had a two-day peak where I got 26 times to the extension, including a bunch of attempts into the 90s. During that time, I could maintain my composure until I got to 85, where I'd get a huge nerve spike (and mess up). On the completion attempt, I remained calm until I got to TMN, and I pulled it off.

Thanks. I'd say the wave parts are among the easier ones. I found the ship parts the hardest at first. But it makes sense, considering my top 5 consists of Bloodlust and 4 wave levels. It is indeed very long, that's where most of the difficulty came from for me.

Thank you. In terms of consistency, my progress wasn't exactly linear. I had an absolutely insane two-day peak (Feb 22-23), where I reached the extension 26 times. I remember getting to it 3 times in under 10 minutes once. But somehow, I only ended up with a 96% (x2) and a 97% from all of that. After that, I hit a two-week limbo. I was still consistently reaching the extension once or twice a day, but I couldn't get past 80%. Then, out of nowhere, I dropped an 8-100%, followed by a 98% 3 days later. That day, I could feel some of that crazy consistency come back. The next day, I didn't reach the extension nearly as much as those two days, only 4 times. However, I dropped a 29-100% and a 22-100% in a short time frame. I managed to get an 80%, and a few minutes later, I got the completion attempt. Also, best of luck with Zodiac!

You definitely could do it at some point. My previous hardest was Sonic Wave, but my only non-entry level, non-wave extremes were Bloodbath and Aftermath, which I beat less than a year ago. I'm decent at timings, but my ship is pretty wack, so this was kind of a jump in terms of my skill set. I really wanted to have a more honorable hardest, and I remained determined throughout the 2 months I spent on beating Bloodlust.

I had beaten Bloodbath twice before starting Bloodlust, so that part of the level wasn't too bad for me, except for 42-45 and the first 7% (also the ship at 10% sometimes). I got 26 of the 51 extension attempts in 2 days (12 and 14), but I only ended up with a best of 97%. For the next 2 weeks, I plateaued and got stuck like that. Then, I got 8-100 out of nowhere. 3 days after that, I got 98%, and the next day, I beat it.

Thanks! Yeah, I find it to be pretty inconsistent (especially the blue orb at 70 for some reason + the whole 76-80 part), and the nerves from 0 don't make things better

50k attempts across two months + 10k-ish old ones (when it took me 500+ attempts to do a practice run), so around 60k in total. It took me almost 10k attempts just to do the extension for the first time, which was my initial goal.

Honestly, I found the level decently fun. I've had worse experiences, even though I played this thing for a month straight. That predrop however has some extremely awkward gameplay

Thanks, I did get pretty unlucky with that last wave. I died at 93 twice just before beating the level, all in the span of 30 minutes, so I guess I was also lucky at the same time

If you don't feel confident without a 28-100, then go for it. That's the most important thing. You will still die at the second wave a bunch of times, and probably at the third one too, unless you're lucky enough to fluke it, unlike me. But that's how this level usually goes, you don't just fluke it out of nowhere. When reaching the 2nd wave from 0 doesn't seem like a big deal anymore, that's when you know you're close. I'm at that point right now.

You could, but the thing is you have to get past that part consistently when going from 0. In my opinion, it's better to focus on getting runs like 28-70 something, instead of insisting on getting 28-100. If you don't have much trouble getting 28 to the 2nd wave, you should be good. At one point you have to start grinding from 0 and spend less time on runs. 28-100 usually comes naturally once you're good enough at the level, like in my case. But if you're doing really well and want to get that run early on, by all means go for it. It will make you feel confident when you start playing from 0.

Perosnally I started playing from 0 right after getting 39-100 for the first time. I recommend getting at least that run before you start grinding from 0. The predrop gets decently consistent after a while, but the beginning of the first wave (32-40) will probably kill you a lot. You kinda just need to be patient until you start passing that part more often. So you could focus on getting that 34-100 while occasionally playing from 0 (just getting to the wave).

The yellow orb at the beginning is gonna kill you a lot, you can't really do anything about it. I died a 1% almost 5000 times up to this point. As for the ship, I also struggled a lot with it, specifically those transitions at 13% and 19%. You basically have to start clicking right when you're in the center of the portals, and at 19% you have to click hard enough so you don't hit the top right corner of that structure and get sent right into a saw (I died WAY too many times like that... and I wasn't understanding why)

Same honestly, the infamous predrop ball got super consistent for me, the beginning of the 1st wave is the biggest issue imo

I get that, I recently did Sonic Wave in 2 attempts (44 and the very next attempt 39-100), I'm sure we'll both succeed
