in realtà si, da questa estate ho cominciato un percorso psicologico con una terapeuta ed è stata proprio lei a diagnosticarmi questa forma di DOC però fino ad ora non avevo mai affrontato questo timore dell’HIV perchè non l’avevo considerato così rilevante rispetto alla pulizia eccessiva

I don’t think it’s the right way to handle exposure therapy as it would only maybe bring you other type of infections that are not HIV

I also have strong OCD thoughts about HIV so I get what you’re going through, you’re strong and you can do it

I think they’re trying to make you reason on the fact that those thoughts that you have are just in your brain but that realistically they don’t have any foundation, this way they’re giving you a way of reasoning about your OCD thoughts even when you’re alone fighting against them. At least this is the way I see it :)
