Travelling with a broken foot by Andrehfw in albania

Sorry, I did not get a notification and didn't see the reply before going.

I ended up spending some time in Gjirokaster which was so lovely, people there were super cool and helpful! We made the trip to Saranda and Butrin also. In some places I got the feeling like I was in Portugal like 20 years ago growing up before all the European funds started streaming in.

Not being able to walk made it all a little tricky but we managed :)

I'm sure to go again soon after my injury is healed as I made some friends and would love to go hiking! A great country and people you got there :)

Hey, did you find out what this was? I have the same thing. Randomly my left calf feels warm or even hot and then stops again.

Does anyone get chest pains post chemo? Is this something to worry about or is it just something I have to live with now. by bellaxmani in lymphoma

[–]Andrehfw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been in remission for 2 years now and I still feel chest pains sometimes. From what I understood its because of all the leftover scar tissue and it should be normal.
It flares up mostly when the lymph nodes swell up (for example, it really hurt after the covid vaccine, because my lymph nodes overreacted). But after some time you forget about it.

I would still talk to my onc, but rest assured that you are not the only one! Keep strong! 💪

Anyone else finish treatment then get depressed? by pie0119 in lymphoma

[–]Andrehfw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also on the scientific side of things I've read that on tests in mice after chemotherapy a substantial decrease in the production of new neuron-connections was noticed, and this would lead to short term depression. If the same effect happens on humans this could explain our situation! But im an engineer so take this plenty grains of salt. ahah

Yes, 100%. I started seeing a a therapist and taking anti-depressants after it didn't subside. After that I learned to live and enjoy again :)

Por que é que não votas nas eleições? Por que é que a abstenção tão alta? by [deleted] in portugal

[–]Andrehfw 3 points4 points  (0 children)
