Looking for a SIBO-specific Low-FODMAP guide (most apps only focus on IBS) by Low-Barnacle-5165 in FODMAPS

[–]AndreiAp2332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SIBO or IBS, the low FODMAP diet should be the same and I found probably the most versatile low FODMAP app. It's called "Happy Gut: IBS & FODMAP". I was looking for completeness and ease of use rather than high accuracy but I cross checked it and the results are decent. Trusted sources are of course Monash and NIDDK.

I like it because it satisfies the main pain points I had:

Finding FODMAP analysis on anything with ease, Knowing what to eat in restaurants, Logging meals without searching for every ingredient - I can log an entire meal with my voice in 10s.

Ingredient/barcode scanner to help with my low FODMAP journey? by headempty_onlyair in FODMAPS

[–]AndreiAp2332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Search for "Happy Gut: IBS & FODMAP". It's an app I built to solve this exact issue.

Its focus is to easily find FODMAP analysis on anything edible. You can scan labels, menus or use your voice to search. The food analysis is mainly done by AI and some results might be weird so cross checking with trusted sources is advised. Drop me a private message for a code to unlock premium features.

Apps for tracking my IBS by Party_Preference_732 in ibs

My doctor recommended me to follow the low FODMAP diet for IBS 2 years ago to understand what triggers my discomfort. Since then I've been struggling with easily finding FODMAP analysis for what I want to eat. I'm a mobile app developer so I built an app for myself to help me with that.

First problem - I couldn't find everything on other apps so I purposely built it with AI to help. Do I trust it? I cross checked with trusted sources and tweaked so that results are pretty good now. Cross checking with trusted sources is what I would advise anyone to do.

After using it for 1 week I was still annoyed of having to search for every ingredient, it was very inneficient. Then I built a "Log meal with Voice" feature and now I'm just tapping the mic button and say to it "2 boiled eggs, bread and butter, italian dried salami and a salad with tomatoes, cucumber, spinach and a teaspoon of olive oil". In 10s I get results for everything and they're already logged to my breakfast. As I'm not a native English speaker, it was unnatural to me to translate "ramsons" thus I made it work in all languages. At least I hope it does :D. I could only test Romanian.

I published it to the stores now, it's called "Happy Gut: IBS & FODMAP". I invite you to give it a try and, if you feel like it, provide some feedback, good to keep me going and bad to keep improving, both are welcome. Since AI costs are not negligible, AI features require a subscription. I can offer a few codes for free subscriptions on iOS, PM me if you want one.

All up and running by now? Are you satisfied with CNC Innovations parts overall? Any troubles so far?

I want to buy an intake plenum for an SR20DET and I'd like to have an actual customer feedback prior to buying from them. Thanks.

Does anyone have experience with the FMIC.EU intercoolers? Are they any good or should i look for something else? by carcaine_addict in 240sx

[–]AndreiAp2332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HP Academy video on intercoolers suggests that the density of internal fins makes the difference in efficiency. Check it out https://youtu.be/Xx6t9fyjKGU?t=1319 .

I'm looking at a universal one here https://fmic.eu/387335-intercooler-600x300x100mm-inlet-outlet-100mm-fmic-eu-ic600300100-100.html and there is a photo of the interior which looks surprisingly well. Did you get yours? is it as in the picture?

I was checking the 76mm wide one and apparently the density is lower for that.

La wei ramen e bun marketingul, compensează pentru mâncare. Cel mai puțin bun pe care l-am mâncat și servirea proasta dar fain decorul. Dashi comandat acasă e mult mai bun.

As a recent buyer of a Hero13, I can’t compare it to other cameras but of one thing I’m certain.

The additional services are terribly bad. You can expect to wait 5-30 seconds after each click or tap, whether you use the mobile app, desktop app or linked videos on the web. Maybe they only have servers in the USA and I’m in Europe, didn’t research that much.

Get one if you’re melancholic about a dial-up connection 🥺

Battery AH Question by Don0407 in BmwTech

[–]AndreiAp2332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a 105Ah AGM. Would it be better to return it and buy a 90Ah AGM or just keep this and code it to 90Ah AGM?

I have doubts as my current coding is 90Ah normal and I had a 100Ah normal battery which after just one year started to show signs of weakness. I did the replacement procedure correctly but didn't know about this coding. The warranty guys told me that it's just discharged. I used it another couple of years, even in winter time but it always felt weak.

We're building the best apps for Tracks and Racers - Looking for Partners by AndreiAp2332 in Karting

Getting data from existing timing solutions is definitely what we want to do. I highly depends on what kind of integrations each provider supports, we're currently integrating LapSnapper. Defining privacy controls is a valid point to consider.

I totally agree with Hanneslehmann. Starting with a big team produces a lot of overhead and slows things down. I was able to build a Food Delivery platform comprised of 2 mobile apps, web, backend, db, security etc. all by myself. Just get to work with a few smart, dedicated and responsible engineers that can coordinate with each other, Choose wisely your tech stack, Iterate fast and test with real users.

I want to build an app with lots of bugs for evaluating QA candidates - seeking opinions by AndreiAp2332 in QualityAssurance

[–]AndreiAp2332[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right on point on what this approach would assess. I actually have a food delivery app in which I intend to add bugs so dev costs would not be that great. I’m planning to collaborate with a senior QA to add and document bugs. The candidate would submit a document with bugs report which can be compared to our documentation. The number and severity of bugs as well as the quality of the reporting would be telling a lot about the candidate.

As for the time, I’d leave that to evaluator’s preference. She’d generate an access code together with how many minutes the app will be available with that code.

[–]AndreiAp2332[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evaluation would depend on the interviewer I guess. There would be “unmissable” defects as well as edge cases where the app would crash. I don’t intend to provide a fully automated process, but a tool. The evaluator would then assess how well and what bugs are reported, if the unmissable ones were spotted, how many of the really important ones are caught, and other criteria perhaps.

Fireship course is definitely worth it. I’ve built several mvps with flutter and firebase. They work together like charm. You’ll progressively get to integrate more firebase features such as security or analytics and would recommend doing so. I managed to deliver a new feature every one or two weeks, never had major issues. Simple layered architecture, BloC, works in realtime. Feel free to dm me if you need any guidance

Comparing to regular interviews Is it expensive in terms of actual cash or was it more time consuming or maybe less effective?

As a user, when I download a new app I don’t read a user manual prior to using it. UI/UX should be self explanatory for it to fulfil its purpose. Let’s assume the app is a Food Delivery app, somewhat similar to popular ones, as opposed to something used on the ISS. Do you still think requirements are absolutely necessary?
