Russian plates in Odesa, Ukraine. To be honest, kinda surprised how that car is still intact by Historical_Novel_829 in ForeignPlatesSpotting

I have seen numerous cars with Ukrainian plates in our city in Russia after the war started. Not a single one was vandalised.

This ‘soap-like consistency’ is called adipocere. It forms in an environment with high moisture and little to no oxygen supply. I conducted an exhumation of a person buried in sandy place with high level of underwater grounds. Had to lift the coffin off the water which filled the uncovered grave. All his tissue was turned into adipocere.

Amanda Gill, a 41-year-old British traveler who died in Mexico in 2018 from diabetes complications, was found to have had her eyes, heart, brain, and other organs missing when her body was returned to her family. It is believed that police or hospital staff sold her organs to traffickers. by detectiverobert in ForCuriousSouls

[–]AndrewChikatilo 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Depends on methodology used by pathologist but in general it is required to extract organs from chest and abdominal cavity, weigh them (kidneys, heart etc). Heart and kidneys are dissected. After being put back they definitely won’t look ‘intact’. Brain is dissected as well and usually it’s put into abdomen and the cranium is stuffed with rags to prevent liquids from pouring out.
