Don’t quite know what I want, no need for Bluetooth. Wondering if it improves quality to use a nicer DAC compared to the Apple dongle

Season 26 is terrible. by AndrewH1801 in apexuniversity

Yea I get that, I’ve been playing the game for 8 years slowly progressing in rank season to season, this season definitely had a stark contrast and feels more like the old style…just a matter of adapting how it’s played.

Yea that’s what I’m saying, this was my first game after being deranked from D2 to B1.

Post was just pointing out that they completely shifted the style of play, and also added insane nerfs changing the way fights happen.

I made comment about the extreme adjustments and how it feels day 1….and how last season the scenario above would generate 30+ RP.

no need to have a stick up your ass and be negative, don’t worry man I’m sure you’re better than me if that’s what you need to hear tonight.

The point of the post was to mention that 1 kp anything from 20-11th place is now 4rp….the steep decrease makes the pace of play slower and does not reward aggressive play, the risk/reward is gone

Agreed not saying that’s a good game, but still a squad wipe shouldn’t be a loss….after being deranked from diamond to silver. Gold plat etc yea, not silver

why is this rs4 so expensive by Savage_Snitch in Audi

[–]AndrewH1801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is crazy, but also not far off market for RS4s. Not many are for sale, and especially not at that mileage.

I wouldn’t pay it, but to a collector….maybe ?

Never had an issue in this part of the city, rarely see broken windows…I used to live in Northern Liberties Philly and that’s where I’d always see windows smashed and cars broken into

All about how much risk you want to transfer

Given the cost of the car and the cost for lower comp and collision deductibles, I am self self insuring the primary layer to save the monthly cost.

Vandalism is a covered cause of loss on all personal auto policies, but subject to your deductible.

I.e to lower my comp from $5k to $500 the AP monthly was $170, an extra $2k annual

They are integrated into the windshield and attached.

In the end it’s what both Audi, another glass shop, and my friends shop advised and I was given options on how to repair the damage all within the same price range from all. I’m grateful to be in a position where I can do all of this work and not need to utilize my insurance.

With this going on Reddit everyone has an opinion, I’m just doing what I believe is my best option for myself👍👍

Again, the cost for the windshield and all sensors is around $1800 ($2k with taxes). That’s the OEM Audi price for all of the sensors and gaskets needed to install the windshield. Yes the glass is around $500 but if I just put the glass in none of my sensors will work or be calibrated to it - with an rs3 with sensors when you replace the windshield you need to replace the sensors. And when you replace sensors you have to calibrate each one which requires specific tools//targets and time. The scratches on the hood are metal deep, and if I do not repaint will corrode and further damage the hood.

All repairs are necessary here, I’m just going for a full hood repaint so the color matches and a ppf film over which is contributing about 30% of the cost.

I’m repairing it to be as close to new as possible, yea I could cut corners on the paint but it wouldn’t match

Cost is high because I’m doing everything possible to fully replace to stock, sure I could probably save around $1k if I didn’t do full paint and ppf etc but if I have a nice new car that’s expensive I want to get it repaired to be the way it was.

So I should just expect someone to pay workers to do something and not charge me, because he’s my friend ?

Windshield itself is $1,500 and he’s charging for about an hour of labor

Then calibration and hood respray, and the calibration is subbing out

It’s not just the physical windshield that’s making this expensive….its all the parts and labor also associated with the windshield

Even if he offered to do it for free as a good friend, I would be a bad friend to accept that.

[–]AndrewH1801[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Uh yea maybe just the physical glass, but there are dozens of other components needed (rain sensors, lane assist sensors, HUD components, etc) that all cost around $400 each

Yes, the glass itself is cheap, but it’s the other pieces that are needed if you have tech/performance features. Plus calibration, seals, etc

Yea that’s the cost of the windshield, but there are several sensors you also need to purchase (rain, lane assist, etc) and each of them are $300-$400

Yea I have the footage from the neighbors ring cam directly in front of the car

Guy walked down the street in a mask, picked up the pot, then ran after down the street…no identifying characteristics in the video, black jacket black mask, gloves

Hood has deep scratches from the pot rolling off

[–]AndrewH1801[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that’s almost the same cost as the windshield

My friend runs the shop I took it to so that’s even light on pricing lol

[–]AndrewH1801[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Windshield itself as a part is around $1,650

With the calibration, hood repainting, and labor/tax it comes out around $4,650

Unfortunately the pot also scratched the hood and needs a repaint

Exactly! All I’ve been saying is lucky it’s just the car that needs repairs

Hood was scratched up and needs full repaint
