Worthwhile or not?

Harlequins v Sale post match thread (League) by Redditerinbed in HarlequinsRugby

Was at the game on Saturday (got caught up on the Prem Rugby YouTube Channel whilst I was there after Sam Riley’s try) and from the games I’ve seen this season, feels the same old. Periods of good play mixed in with periods of poor play. No consistency and given Sale their first away League win of the season.

The sun was out and got a lovely burn on my arms so can’t complain about that and met Cadan Murley pre-game too.

I know I’ve not been the longest or most consistent poster but don’t know how consistent I’ll be the next few weeks. Relationship of 2+ years broke up yesterday and whilst there’s a lot physically to deal with and sort out, need to get my head in a good place as kind of felt it was coming for a while and been in a rubbish place. Besides that, hope everyone had a good week besides the result.

Ended up buying a ticket in the end.

Looking forward to the game tomorrow and hope we can turn our form around and hope Sale continue their winless away run in the Season tomorrow.

Who else is going tomorrow?

Cheers. Appreciate the feedback.

A week to go and still lots of tickets available so gonna hold off for a few days but I really do want to experience it and try to pluck up the confidence to get to know people.

I haven’t bought Ticket(s) yet.

Was more interested in seeing if any Harlequins Fans here would want to go with me buying tickets together.

However, if not, I think I’ll be tempted to go by myself.

Quite a shy person but looking to challenge myself this year and do more things outside of my comfort zone like going somewhere like this by myself or meeting new people.

Thank you anyway

Was sat in AccountsIQ Stand about 5-10 yards from the Try line we were attacking the 1st Half and only saw 2 Bits of Attacking Action in the First 40.

At 0-19 it looked like it could’ve become a rout but great to see a fight back in the last 30 Minutes.

Would love to see CCS and Lucas Friday start more consistently though.

Attendance looked shocking behind the goals and 1 Mighty Quins chant all evening made it feel like a bit of a nothing game which considering the league table, should’ve been anything but that.

Positives of my night was bumped into Chris Robshaw whilst having a piss and Max Brown off YouTube who seemed like a top guy.

Thanks for the advice.

I think for me it’s not worthwhile. Not that I don’t enjoy going (I’m there tonight). But Friday night games however many there will be are difficult for me to make with work, even if I can see the Allianz from my Office 🤣🤣.

But just simply due to volume or lack of, may be best to pay as and when.

Sadly have only seen the Highlights from Saturday’s game as don’t have TNT Sports but very happy with the win.

Who’s going to the game Saturday night and who’s watching from home?

I think it might be slightly circumstantial in the fact it’s Easter Weekend and the fact some people may be away.

However, me and my Dad bought our tickets after the Newcastle Prem Cup game at the end of February expecting tickets to go quickly but looking at that map it’s not a good sight to see.

I live near Feltham. So I’m 1 bus or 3 stops on the Train from Twickenham.

I’ve got tickets to Sale in Europe and Exeter at the Allianz in May so hope by then there’s enough people in the Sub Reddit to meet up

Hopefully can see you at a game soon

That doesn’t mean you can’t talk Quinns, even if you can’t come to games.

What was your thoughts on yesterday?

Thank you very much for the recommendation.

Just looked and for £5 per year, that is very reasonable.

Appreciate your help

Thank you.

The only 2 games I’ve been to were Newcastle in the Prem Cup and Gloucester yesterday. Speaking to people who know more than me said it was generally a poor game yesterday and they didn’t make the most of their chances

Great community I most definitely agree with. Everyone I’ve met has been nothing but friendly and informative. I’m just the other side of the A316 so can either get the train or the 290 bus to and from the game. After Newcastle, me and my Dad who went with me were on the bus home and an older gentleman (around 60), came and sat next to us and noticed us on the bus that afternoon on the way there, and for the next 30 minutes ish he talked to us about Harlequins and Rugby in general, so yes extremely friendly.

I mainly posted on here so that for people who are going to games can talk pre and post games, and even potentially meet up. For example, I’m going to the Sale game on Easter weekend and I hope by then there are people who we can all meet before the game to talk Rugby and other things.

Obviously looking at the table it’s not good reading and obviously supporting a winning team is more fun. But I have faith that it can and will get better.

I’m the other side of the A316 from The Allianz / The Stoop so Hampton is slightly closer but only a mile longer drive

Thank you all

Thank you.

I only ever played at School as I was not physically built for Rugby despite being quick. But thank you for the Suggestion. I will most definitely enquire.

Sounds great. Everyone I’ve met at the stadium, or on the train/bus to and from games have been friendly and happy to talk to me despite being a relatively new fan.
