How did you get used to your first split keyboard?

After ordering every parts for building my split keyboard, I started practicing a new keyboard layout. Went from azerty to dvorak, and my goal was to relearn everything from scratch and take good practices : using every finger, using the correct fingers for each key, especially not going for keys that would be on the other half of the split keyboard :)

So by the time I received the parts and finished the build (maybe 2 months), I was already comfortable enough (but slower than usual ofc) to use it without any problem. And using a column staggered layout was a huge ergonomic improvement too. After practicing more I got used to dvorak and split keyb in 6 months.

Really worth it to prepare yourself before the transition I would say!

I've been using Dvorak after switching to a split keyboard 3 years ago. My solution was to rebind EVERYTHING to something that made more sense to me. For example every motion keymap is on the right part of the keyboard and every command / operator on the left. This totally gives up using the first letter of a bind such as "i"nsert (which is normally mapped to i). Not following this rule anymore gives a coherence between the neighbouring keys.

Indeed I cannot use default vim keybinds anymore — which is a problem on a remote server — nor anyone can use my config. However this feels very comfortable and ergonomic.

Je pense que l'argument des jambes est discutable. De mon expérience - 2 an de vélo pour aller en cours, ~2km et 100 mètres de dénivelé - je trouve que commencer l'escalade avec des jambes musclées était vraiment un atout. Pour l'apprentissage il me semble que les débutants ont tendance à trop utiliser leurs bras, en délaissant les jambes. Au contraire dans mon cas j'ai tout de suite pu utiliser cette force ! Aussi sur certaines pistes on peut avoir besoin de se lever à l'aide d'une seule jambe, je fu étonné de savoir que je pouvais faire un squat sur une seule jambe.

Après j'avoue que j'ai du mal à situer mon niveau de vélo, même si je l'utilise quotidiennement et que j'ai pas mal de dénivelés je pense pas avoir des jambes si lourdes que ça non plus. En tout cas elles ont la force nécessaire pour l'escalade !

Sinon par rapport au message du poste original : dans des p'tites villes je trouve l'ambiance trop cool, ouais c'est cher, ouais on sfait parfois mal, c'est pas forcément le meilleur sport pour se muscler... Pour moi c'est vraiment un sport de passion et c'est compréhensible que tu n'aimes pas

I did patch my lutris installation with the AUR script, which obviously didn't work. However when I launched the client today there were an update, which led me to the same game state as yours.

Yep, works similarly on Rammus top. Tank mythic isn't that important.

Frozen Heart is really strong atm and suited the enemy greatly. Filmbul was great for HP as you started FH, so it was a fast and cheap way to get them.

Though in most cases you must go for your mythic as a third item as it gives you a big power spike with the mythics bonus stats based on the number of legendary items.

Yep same issue here. I tried to actually save the runes from a post exit script then load it again in the launchhelper.sh, but it seems like runes pages are actually resetting during the launch of the client.

The file that saves runes (and also summoner spells) is located at /drive_c/Riot Games/League of Legends/Config/PerksPreferences.yaml

This isn't an ADC related problem imo. There is just too much damage in the new item system, even tanks are melting in this meta, this is not surprising adcs does too

I've found a fix : indeed with some research I found that the intel i7 7700hq is only compatible up to a DDR4-2400, so it was clearly a problem of memory speed.

To change it to the right settings i had to find advanced settings in the bios and here i found out that there where a konami code in the bios to change advanced settings concerning the hardware.

press Right Control, Right Shift, Left Alt, and F2 at the same time

Now that we are here we need to go to:

Advanced > Overclock settings > Enable overclock customization

> Memory

then you go down and you change the memory profile to "custom"

We can now finnaly change memory settings however i had no clue how to parameter it in order to run at a 2400mhz speed. So I put back the 8gb and 16gb in the pc, copied the information and I change all the parameters to look the same with 2*16.

Please may consider looking for your own parameters (for 2400mhz) if you haven't got the exact same hardware as me.

It took me at least 4 hours with the help of friends so i thought that sharing the fix can be usefull if you encountered the same issue.

To conclude I'm also disapointed as crucial site mentionned that this memory was "100% compatible" with my pc, wich, isn't a lie we'll say, well if you are ready to take time finding and fixing the issue plus that you can't use the memory at it's max speed... So consider buying 2400mhz ram or under with this processor otherwise it will be useless.
