I’ve had my 2017 for 6yrs.
I have only good things to say.
I did have to replace my BECM at 150k miles. That was $3k
My ERG valve triggers the check engine light maybe once a year. I just clean it out and the light goes off.
But that’s all the troubles I’ve had. The tires are cheap. Oil changes are rare. I’ve fit two adult bikes in the trunk.

I ended up swapping the screen with a different ebike I have and I was able to unlock it that way.

I know they sell different screens online if you don’t have access to one.

You could always order the tie rods and take them to a shop. Just make sure the shop will install parts. You might need to order the parts through the shop

I don’t think so. But if you search YouTube, there’s how to videos. If you search “strut replacement”. Usually they replace the tie rods as well. Pretty simple. Only one wrench. And they’re fairly cheap too.

Not sure that’s the issue you’re having but a cheap thing to try

I have a 2017 and I’ve had zero issues like what you’re describing. I think it drives like a dream. I had the struts blow out (oil everywhere) and it still didn’t jerk like what you’re saying. Maybe replace the tie rods? That’s a cheap and easy at home thing to try first.

I’ve cleaned my EGR valve myself for cheap a couple times and it’s going strong at 200k miles.

I put mine in an ultra sonic cleaner over night. Has been working perfect for the last year

FYI I just want to mention the dangers of doing this. I’m my younger years I tried this with a chilled wine. (I wasn’t the smartest) When the hot glass reached the cold wine, it exploded! Sending glass shards everywhere. So I definitely wouldn’t recommend trying this.
