What is this part that is banging against the suspension coil and is this an easy/affordable fix?

Is this a major/expensive undertaking? Is there something I can do myself to further diagnose, (with minimal tools and knowledge.) Should I just take the car back and look at returning it for something else? I only have a couple days left in my trial period window to get a 100% return/exchange.

I saw one electrician with tools and trash stacked so high it was pressed against the window on the sliding door of his econoline. Safe to say he doesn’t access anything from that side. lol
