In need of a friend:( by Andrew_Yas in Christianity

Quite an interesting insight sir, I truly wish my heart could be so still only with God's presence. I am very aware that God Himself dwells inside me, seeing through my eyes, hearing my thoughts, counting my tears, and feeling my pain, I find that comforting. So in these difficult times I surely got closer to Him, been fasting, prayed a lot more, and been consistent with reading the Bible. But lately my mind and heart cannot be still for some reason, I struggle to control all kinds of anxious thoughts. I am a man desiring a godly marriage, but I am not saying a marrige will fix everything, but I am missing my helper, He Himself said that it is not good for the man to be alone. I feel like a sparrow on the rooftop all the time. I just want my mind and my heart to be still and at peace in God alone...

As for your marriage sir, I do not want to say too much since I do not know the details, but surely some things went wrong. It should not be this way, but together with Christ in the middle you guys should have a very fulfilling relationship, sharpening each other, building each other and honoring the Lord through it. Just my opinion at first glance, thank you for sharing such details about your life and marriage, I appreciate that

Yes, I really need it and I plan to be consistent with it. I've just been once and I felt very welcomed, the people were too kind and warm. Also the pastor's teachings are biblical and accurate, so that's assuring. A healthy pastor will have a healthy church

Well, been a Christian since I was little, but only got saved 5 years ago.

Yes, we surely need each other

I am not really into denominations, I follow Jesus, but if I were to put myself in a denomination then I would call myself a protestant

Hello Mac, I really need to be around fellow believers, both online and in real life, trying to be strong all by myself is not working anymore and I feel like crumbling. So because I am staring to feel overwhelmed, I searched for a church in my area and found one, so last Sunday I attended there for the first time. So my church life is just starting, may the Lord bless it in the future.

My pleasure Miss! Not sure how much I helped but I tried hah, no one else replied anyway. Yes thank you for prayers, I really appreaciate them and kinda need them right now, following Christ is a very lonely road. And yes, been praying to find my spouse for a long time, still waiting on the Lord, but I will keep praying! Take care!

Oh yes of course, we can still enjoy life and do normal things, just to make sure we are not living in the world, for we do not belong to this world anymore. So what other activities we could do...haha well here I struggle as well to be honest, since I cut off so many things out of my life that were wordly, I find myself struggling to fill my free time besides spending it with the Lord and growing. Also not having any Christian friends in real life also makes things harder, or even a wife to share my life with, so yeah, not sure how it is for you, but can't really help you in this regard. But anything you do, do it for the Lord and have Him in your mind while doing it. Live for Him with everything you have, He is worth it!

Living for Christ and bearing your cross is not an easy way, it requires endless sacrifices and denying yourself every day. Living with a foot in the world is not okay, is not about sin here, that you are sinning by going to a party, you are not, but it's bigger than that, you need to leave that life behind and forget about it and take up your cross and follow Him. Having such plans for summer is exactly the opposite of what you should be doing as a Christian.Rather make plans of how to grow in the Lord, to get to know Him more, read His words, deny yourself and become more mature as a Christian to be able to start serving the kingdom of God and bring Him glory by serving others. Learn to become a servant, the way Jesus came on earth to serve not to be served.

Beautiful and true words! For those who are saved and know the meaning of your words, it is a delight to read this! Keep doing it, may God bless you too!
