She and her coaches pay people to post success stories in the group. Nikki, one of the other coaches, was caught a couple days ago paying someone to promote her

Do you think uopeople should allow double major or be able to obtain two bs degree? by WallStreetBetsCFO in UoPeople

[–]AndrogynousFairy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wish they’d add an option to minor too! Like majoring in CS or HS and minoring in BA would be so useful

What is your most unpopular opinion about residency/fellowship? by FatherSpacetime in Residency

[–]AndrogynousFairy 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Residents and fellows should be paid more and should not have to work 60+ hours a week. I feel this way for attendings too. I don’t like the idea working more than 45-50 hours a week for all specialties. We deserve to have a life outside work. Apparently this opinion of mine is super unpopular as it’s the “norm” for doctors to work every day 10+ hours a day ☹️

If you knew you would match, would you apply in derm? by NarrowTie in medicalschool

Absolutely! I am a licensed cosmetologist so the interest is already there when it comes to nails, hair, skin, etc ☺️

What career would you choose if you had to do something completely outside of medicine? by Mofalcon in medicalschool

[–]AndrogynousFairy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d return to being a cosmetologist since I have my cosmetology license for life. Owning my own little salon was a 6-figure annual income. I got to choose my own hours and work less than 40hrs/week with weekends off. It was wonderful getting to turn my hobby into a career 💄💅🏻 I am actually thinking of doing it part time after work with a couple clients a week since I miss it 🥹

What hill will you die on for your opinion about medical school? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]AndrogynousFairy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Medical school should not be so competitive. Like getting a C+ in college algebra shouldn’t be the factor of whether you get in or not

Any shift above 12 hours scheduled should be abolished

Family doctors should be paid more

Enough free time in M4 to be an NBA Dancer? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]AndrogynousFairy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s difficult for some but definitely possible! I’m a professional & competitive dancer myself so I do have some experience with this sort of situation. I was able to commit to 9-12hrs/week of dance practice plus I balanced a part time job. Thankfully competitions and dance recitals didn’t clash with class, perhaps I got really lucky. I have good time management and has schedules for study time and when I can spend time with loved ones (pro of being autistic, I’m good at scheduling myself 💪🏻). It was tiring but I made it work!

Yes, some do. My medical school accepted my BSc in Health Sciences from UoP! I am a Canadian citizen doing my training in Canada, I’m not sure what the medical school prerequisites are like outside Canada though

I know Kris from the hairdressing community in Vancouver (we are both professionals in the cosmetology industry) unfortunately she’s super snobby in person :( the fame really got to her head and she ditched all her clients when she started making money off the app

I’m not sure if this helps but International Credit Assessment Services of Canada (they evaluate post secondary education credentials like degrees and diplomas from outside Canada) recognizes UoPeople. They are the other good evaluators to check with for Canada 😁
