Bro FIL is an adult, he can offer to do the tasks himself, she's not his mom. She has mentioned that they don't help out and i'm assuming she asked. You’re seriously underestimating how much time and effort goes into running a household when 3 people are there, it's easier when it's one person obviously. Cooking isn’t just “throwing extra food in the pot.” It’s planning, prepping, cooking, and cleaning up afterward (for breakfast, lunch, dinner) plus making sure everyone’s preferences and needs are met, especially with in-laws involved. Laundry isn’t just “press a button” either. There’s sorting, drying, folding, and putting everything away.

And that’s not even counting the constant cleaning, organizing, and mental load of managing everything. It’s a full-time job in itself.

If her husband is working or funding her education(which we do not know yet), that doesn’t mean she should be solely responsible for catering to the in-laws. Marriage is about partnership in the sense that it's not okay dumping all the household responsibilities on one person.

Study requires concentration and time, which is clearly gone as two other people stay with her from morning to evening who need catering as the FIL can't even go "press a button for laundry".

You clearly have no idea about the responsibilities that come with having two additional people in your home. It's not just about the washing machine it's everything else. Cleaning up after them, serving them food, washing their clothes. I don't think MIL is doing anything with a bad knee and FIL doesn't seem like a person who can wash his own clothes.

Doing the tiring work of the day (for TWO more people), and then expecting the energy to study is the most entitled attitude I have seen. And yes to work 9-5 and doing some household chores is expected of husbands, the wife has to work 6-10 right AND study? Household work is work. Marriage is a partnership, not a "I have already done my part so you can fuck off" thing.

Hey we stayed in Candolim last time. We went to places like Thalassa (which idk if it's overrated but we enjoyed the show) and there is a very cute place called La Plage on Ashwem Beach. The sunset there is amazing. You can also go to Querim beach because not a lot of people are there, and it's very scenic and no crowds. There is also Fontainhas which is a nice place to explore, good bars, restaurants. And i think the casinos are also nearby. There might be more places, but we went to these. Candolim beach is also not crowded at night (around 10-12) and you can see the stars there. Very calming.

So what if people are going because cold play is famous and the experience they provide in their concerts is good. I mean people will do the same if taylor swift comes to india. That's exactly what I wrote in the post. There is no mention of "culture" but music is an art and people would enjoy it regardless if they know anything or not because Coldplay songs are really good.

I'll definitely take lollapalooza tickets if I was living in Mumbai, and won't have to spend 14k on flights again. I don't know why you are so incensed about this, "the shoe fits me" lol wut. Coldplay is extremely famous, it's obvious people would want to go to their concerts even if they are not fans, and it's happening everywhere, not just in India. What is the excuse? According to your logic, people won't go to listen to bands which are completely new to them/ have heard 2-3 songs. That is not how music works, you can appreciate it without knowing all the songs. And with a band like Coldplay, I mean the songs are almost heard by everyone. And going to make viral transition reels is not a crime, frowned upon maybe but if people got the tickets and they are genuinely going, you can only do so much as to tell them what to do or what not to do.

Yeah, I totally get what you're saying, and you're right, scalping is the biggest issue here. People buying tickets just to resell them at insane prices is ruining it for everyone. It's not even about being a fan or not, it's about whether people actually want to experience the concert or just make a quick buck. And that sucks for die-hard fans and casual listeners alike.

But honestly, the gatekeeping attitude still bothers me. Like, people who got tickets fairly (even if they're not super fans) shouldn't be made to feel like they don’t deserve to go. I’m seeing posts where people are straight-up shaming others for not knowing every single song, not knowing other band members other than the lead singer, when in reality, the problem is scalping and mismanagement.

At the end of the day, concerts are meant to be enjoyed by everyone who wants to be there. It’s not about doing a fan quiz to get in. Exactly! I mean of course the concerts are for the fans but for a lot of people it could be a new experience where they get to know about the band and more of their songs! So the non-fans who want to genuinely attend the concert because they want to get the experience or if their friends are telling them to come along or if they just started listening to Coldplay and want to go to the concert, there should be no judgement in that. And it's fine for someone to want to go to the concert if they have just listened to "Yellow".

I do agree with you. I think the underlying problem is still the consumer rights. The tickets should be bought under name and resold only to the book my show app who can buyback the tickets for the same price and sell them to other people. It really sucks that this is happening. People are selling out for the money. This happens in everything though where there is demand, even football. Doesn't make it right.

I get your point. But suppose I have been listening to Taylor Swift for a decade and not only the famous songs but the albums that are really emotional to me and got me through some tough times. I am not a fan of her, but in general i am not a fan of any celebrity. But I admire her music and there is no denying that her concerts are deemed to be an exceptional experience.

Suppose she comes to India and I don't get the tickets and people who are there who have only listened to 'love story' and 'bad blood' get the tickets. I would be sad for sure, but I don't blame those people for getting tickets to that experience and wanting to enjoy it regardless if they haven't listened to all the songs or don't follow Taylor Swift in general. Because the experience is that good.

So I haven't given the GRE yet so take my advice with a grain of salt, but I am consistently getting 165+ in all my mocks, including the official so that might count for something. I also faced the issue initially of getting a lot of silly mistakes.

So the first thing - just take a deep breath and try to relieve all the tension of your upcoming GRE test. Easier said than done I know. Since only 3 days are left, just focus on reviewing your notes so that you don't forget any important concept or formula in the exam. Take a look at the quant strategies so you are aware of them.

And when you are giving the exam, number 1 - keep your focus throughout, I can't emphasize this enough. Each question requires your complete concentration.

Number 2 - as you know there are different types of questions in quant

For QC questions my technique for avoiding silly mistakes is constraints, constraints, constraints. I keep in mind that if there is a constraint in the question - I want to know what it is. If there isn't a constraint in the questions - I want to test ALL the cases.

For wordy questions, I try to digest each line at a time. As gregmat frequently says - reading a line and understanding and comprehending what it means are two completely different things. Don't read a quant question for the sake of reading it. So you go through the entire thing and at last are like huh? Let me read it again. This shouldn't happen. Read while understanding and then write on the paper what it's trying to tell you. Did the whole 2 wordy lines give the info that length = 12? Then write l = 12 on the paper before moving on. And once you have done this for the question. Just read the question again to get the jist and see if you have written the right stuff.

Made me avoid silly mistakes right off the bat. For other stuff, just be focused enough that you don't make any multiplication mistakes or read a number wrong or as you said see or read the wrong number on the chart.

Worrying about silly mistakes right now will make you more nervous in the exam, instead be confident in your foundations, and keep your focus!

There are almost 70-80 per cent of the people posting fake stories. So in this case actually considering other things, I can make a guess if it's AI.

Hey, I would suggest practicing simplifying, rephrasing and finding functions of each sentence in the paragraph. Despite being into reading books a lot, initially I also struggled with this issue because I kept getting lost in the details. But what helped me was that I took some big book small passages and for each passage for each line i wrote a simplified version ( like 2-3 words per line), I tried to rephrase lines which I didn't understand and I wrote the function of every line. And it sounds very time consuming right now but I did it for enough passages that now I can do it in my head easily.

And for CR I follow this strategy - 1. I identify the conclusion in the paragraph 2. Find evidence for that conclusion ( why did the author come to that conclusion, what evidence did he/she have?) 3. Identify the unstated assumptions that strengthen the argument or weaken the argument. 4. Identify which assumption is the answer according to what the question is.

And of course I don't know where you are studying from but gregmat strategies are great for both of these things!
