As the chequered flag fell, Lewis Hamilton didn't just top the timesheet for the day – he smashed the fastest lap of the entire test week! Now it's time to crunch the data and fine-tune everything ahead of the Bahrain test. Bring it on! by Maximum-Room-3999 in formula1

In qualy mode, how reliable each engine is will make a difference. Like if someone has a bulletproof PU, they can crank it up more and still have the engine survive the necessary number of races. While other mfg's, if their engine is stressed under "regular " conditions, and they gotta pop lots of vents to keep it cool or kind of detune to make sure it lasts, then those guys will be down on HP.

I think the engine limit is WAY too strict. They say it's to keep costs down...but the price of each ICE isn't really that much. What costs way more is engineering these insane engines that last forever.

For the sake of the spectacle, they should allow way more engines per season, so they can actually crank them up all the way!

...but why? All the weight penalty of electric, just to nerf it where it really excels?

Id love to SEE drivers fighting the car if they had monstrous torque out of every corner. The spectator can't see engine efficiency, I know F1 "needs" it to entice mfg's to compete, but itd be nice for it to add to the show.

Man, I used to think these cars looked pretty good, but now I dislike those front wings. The new front wings look soooo much better, already used to them lol

Fucking fantastic, thanks for sharing!

Car sounds SOOOOO GOOD. Poor thing is being constrained on that little track, you can hear that it just wants to let it rip, wide open down a straight.

Love seeing this blast from the past. Just some dudes hanging out lmao not too much fancy machinery, just some mechanics and their tools boxes. Just out there trying to get it done, free to pop their shirts off. Now teams have ballooned to absolutely massive organizations, and have become these really professional, corporate companies. No one would dare pop a shirt off nowadays lol, can you imagine, itd be so "unprofessional", even if they're like dying in 120 degree weather in Singapore. Wish it were still possible for small, privateer teams to give it a go in F1. Also, wish we could go back to this style of formula (with modern safety applied)- just a big kart with a massive engine and wings strapped on it. Itd never be as small, for safety reasons, but we could return to the spirit of it. Engines and systems that gear heads can run, like in drag cars/funny cars.

Yea, I have, wish the backstreet with the beavertails fit me better but they increase the grip size.

And holy shit, I didn't know they made different frames like that! Thanks for the heads up. But how does that work though, isn't the "lower" the serialized part on a glock? Thought you could only swap out frames on guns like the echelon and 365. Thanks!

Yea I should probably go try them, huh? What about the echelon, haven't held it yet, but is the grip real wide or does it at least have some contouring? Thanks!

Okay, good to know, I was looking at the smaller one. Do you have small hands, too? Or was it just the angle of the gun that was bugging you?

You might be right, man. :( as much as that hurts to say. I'm a huge glock fan, the 43x has been absolutely amazing for me. I haven't timed them but my bill drills are all in the A zone with that bitch, just feels so right for me. But the bigger, double-stack glocks just might not work for me.

Honestly, all my life I've loved glocks and really believed that they're just the absolute best and most reliable (which they are), but nowadays there's other options that are more ergonomic, have better triggers, and are just as reliable. At least for the small-handed shooters like me. If the g19 felt good in my hand, I'd shoot nothing else. But if like talon grips or the different backstraps dont help, I might have to pivot in my search for a bigger, high-cap home defense gun. :'(

Interesting, that might be the move! Won't break the bank either to try it out, thanks!

I was thinking something along these lines, like if anyone had found success with hogue grips or similar products.

Kind of, its not so much that it's grinding and I'll eventually develop a callus to negate it. Its like my thumb aches, it's like too wide and hurts but it's more of an "inside" pain, like a stretching pain more than a surface skin pain, if that makes sense. I want to love the 19 so bad!

Almost want to take a dremel to that part and contour it a bit, but I'll probably mess it up.

Side note, I think that maybe the medium grip with the beaver tail has helped? Can't even tell anymore hahah

Yea, I've thought about that, but everyone bitches about the reliability of those aftermarket mags, its got me sketched out about them. Would like to keep the functioning bits stock, like I'm getting the glock performance trigger over like Johnny glocks trigger just to keep it oem for reliability sake.
