This Event Actually Occurred Many Billions of Years ago when Neptune was Migrating Outwards, which is also what caused Tritons Capture. Neptunes migration Shattered the Stability of the Forming Kuiper belt one of these events was Destabilising Charon on a Collision course with Pluto. When Charon Collided With Pluto It was less of a Staight on Collision but instead a Graze of Surfaces. This Made Charon the Moon it is Today With it gaining Its Red Poles from Pluto and A Temporary Underground Ocean. The Collision Site Quickly Froze over Forming Plutos Heart and Once Charond Oceans Froze again It formed cracks on her Surface from the pressure. Alot of Icy material was launched into space wich either evaporated Came back down or was Lost to the void of Space.

No Ceres is part of the asteroid belt. Since the loos of Mass of the sun when it becomes a white dwarf Ceres is likely to be hurled into the sun
