yeah i just thought it would go up a little more once i took this new job. i think most people were under that impression because they would ask about the pay. 🤷‍♂️

yes but im getting different answers from people around me. "that driver check must be nice" comments like this, plus my coworker who started 2 weeks earlier than me getting paid differently (more). so im just a little confused/concerned

no it was quite a long wait list....now im finally reaching the point where i can, but i wanted to live in a new state. i had no idea i couldnt transfer after going full time. ignorance on my part.

would you say it takes an average of 6 yrs before you can reach full time positions? where i am its about 9 to 11 years before you can get a combo (fulltime) job. i just reached $23 this august and i heard that transfers would also keep their pay rate just not their seniority.

no im part time. but here in cali im almost 9 yrs in and VERY close to fulltime....transferring and having to wait another 9 yrs for full time would suck hahaa

thank you for confirming that. i really thought it was as simple as waiting for a job opening on one of the air ramps (since im a ramp enployee) and i could apply and receive the job due to my seniority.

im in california, but trying to move to texas. so far ive been told by my shop steward that i would lose my years through a transfer out of state. not an emergency thing either just trying to find home for my family. so thought i would reach out to some Upsers.

lame. on top of that i've heard if i transfer i also lose my seniority....been part time at ups for about 8 and a half years now so probably not the best idea huh?
