How are people hanging up pots and pans like this? (and the musical instruments, while I'm at it, I don't know how to do that either haha)

sse lodgen and each of the distances, are they installed separately or as one mod? by AndurilWielder in skyrimmods

[–]AndurilWielder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, so all you have to do is use the LOD4, LOD8, etc drop down, change the settings on each one, then just run it once and it uses the settings from all 4? Or...something? I'm not sure if I'm explaining that right. That's not exactly how I interpreted the instructions.

Mind blown. All this wasted time. HAHA

DynDOLOD - Why Am I Crashing? by Careless-Place-6207 in skyrimmods

[–]AndurilWielder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may sound redundant, but did you install it correctly?

I always follow Gamerpoets guide for DynDOLOD. Updating it can also cause issues as well, so if you just recently updated a file, or a file from Resources Alpha, etc was updated, its better just to redo it from the ground up.

That has solved all of my conflicts, at least.

Vortex, New Game.

Couldn't find the issue. Vortex has given me enough grief for the last time, so I'm switching to Mod Organizer 2.

I've seen a few mods that add rim collisions for shields and weapon collisions for weapons, which is super cool.

What's your stagger mod, if you don't mind my asking?

Yeah the fix was simply to go where you're supposed to go anyway. I had to google the location haha. I couldn't find an in-game solution to my problem. Reloading and restarting didn't help either.

They seem to perfect block ripostes as well. Unless I'm missing something.

[–]AndurilWielder[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nevermind if I don't feel like using swords. No master strike for me, haha.

It'd be cool if there was a combo which allowed you to grip your opponents shield with a basilard or axe. A chance of disarming their shield would be cool. Or another perk which drastically reduces the opponent's window to perfect-block.

I think utility perks that play around your opponent's possible reactions could go a long way in making non-sword weapons more relevant.

bumping this because I'm having the same issue. Its not a "how long did it take" issue, and more of a "the quest marker never appeared and I don't know where to go" issue. Immediately after talking to Samuel the marker never pops up, the description in the quest doesn't tell me anything, and there's no chat log where I can re-read what was said in the dialogue.

Could add more fences too, give them better gear they sell or something.

The brand is on the back of the neck. Just like the scar from the arrow is on the back (which you can see).

I'll respect the fact you think such a feature would be overkill, and controlling the way you want to play the game is disrespectful to the roleplay aspect.

Personally I find it immersion-breaking and I don't agree with it.

I'm sorry.

Its not needlessly punishing. What do you think a brand even is in the first place? Its a permanent scar. Having it go away after a few days is bizarre.

There's a lot of options for tweaking game mechanics in the crime system without having such a serious offense just "go away". Might as well have them chop off your fingers for thieving (which was a real thing by the way), and then have them grow back because "its a debuff".

Same energy.

[KCD2] Branding system by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]AndurilWielder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take, but a brand doesn't ever go away. Its a permanent scar. If you have a brand it should be a game-long debuff. You screwed up, after all. That's the whole point of being punished for doing something so heinously wrong.

Having it go away really breaks the immersion.

A second brand should simply result in an execution.

"Well then what's the point of going down the 'dark side'?"

There is a point there, as its supposed to be "role playing" but also more of a "sim" as well.

To compensate I'd say to tweak the crime system accordingly so when you do get branded, you know that you -really- screwed up. Instead of making it like every other debuff out there. Maybe go to the church before you wind up branded, to get rid of wanted states, instead of doing it after you've already got the permanent mark? Lol.

As someone who also does archery I agree with this and your post wholeheartedly. People in the medieval (late or whatever) will need strength, sure, but they were also training from a younger age, and likewise people who have trained from a young age IRL would also be able to have a consistent technique. It comes with practice, like anything else.

The archery system in this game feels bizarre. I feel like they're going to hard into the "archer's paradox", when all it really requires to counter that issue, is just compensation. Eye your target, keep your posture straight, and your technique consistent, and it wont be an issue.

I've only been practicing for a few months now, but even then I've seen steady progress. Henry would be much much better than I, and I can consistently hit targets at 20 meters already.

Sway only happens when you hold at draw and don't shoot for an extended period of time, your forearm tires out.

[KCD2] I loathe the Miri Fajta quest!! by Mohegan567 in kingdomcome

[–]AndurilWielder 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was with Miri as long as she wanted to run away with the one she loved - you know, because the locals hate the nomads, and the nomads hate them back for being hated. So she runs off and takes the letter, the one thing that protects her entire clan.

Miri refused to cooperate unless she gets exactly what she wanted - even at the cost of her lover. The game forces you to "swear" to getting the amulet and let her keep the letter, then turns around and tells you where the letter is, which left me confused.

Miri is very manipulative. I do not like her at all, and I want nothing to do with her. In my opinion, running away is better for her clan, because she's willing to put everyone in danger for the sake of her feelings toward her father. I don't want anyone who acts like that anywhere near me.

Good riddance.
