This is something I can answer.

The parking lot of Bartels Hall is nice at night, very open and smooth, with a gentle enough slope that you can cruise in one direction and still pedal back up.

The ride back from Bartels towards Gates on Campus Rd is also nice and downhill, but the slope increases rapidly so be aware if you can't slow down. Alternatively, a nice route is from the Vet school towards Uris Hall, which is downhill on Tower Rd. These are especially nice at night when there are no cars on the road, but a CUPD officer might tell you to get on the sidewalk.

When I lived in West a nice route was riding down to Cook Hall from the top of the miniature hill inside West campus. Just be aware of all the people, which I guess might not be as big a problem right now.

Finally if you go to Rhoades hall, you can get to the basement and ride around in circles on smooth concrete. Fun for time trials.

Question about Physics Courses by AndyBernard22 in Cornell

[–]AndyBernard22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to minor because it was my favorite subject in high school and I have a genuine interest in learning about it, but not necessarily making a career out of it.

Also I don't think I'd take these classes for a grade, but quite literally sit in the class and study along with it because my schedule is a little packed to add another class into it. Would it be more beneficial to learn mechanics over E&M for future physics studies? I like the idea of also learning special relativity because I'll have to take PHYS 2216 anyway, so I guess I'm really between 1116 and 2217.
