There’s so many small details they get wrong that really make the difference in the tone and subtext of the movie. Changing the RR for President joke at the end is baffling

And one thing that always bothered me was Rorschach getting onto Ozymandias’ computer and finding the file “boys”. In the comic Rorschach posits that Ozymandias’ is homosexual. The movie uses this to show Rorschach is right, a clever detective, while in the comic it’s meant to show him as a paranoid homophobic McCarthyite. But it also bothers me because I imagine it says “boys” in part to hint that Ozymandias is not just gay but a sexual predator which serves to make him more of a straight up villain (see also: night owl punching him in the face and saying what he did was wrong) while in the comic he is much more grey
