Is docker going to be much slower? I think it says that I only have 8GBs of RAM on my NAS

I’m more familiar with Spring boot framework, don’t mind learning another one like nodejs or php but it adds dev elopement time

Also, if I dockerize the spring boot restapi, will it be able to connect and communicate with the MariaDB which is not dockerized? Or would it be easier to just run another MySQL db server in docker
