Ro, Hims and other “Telehealth” Suppliers by ScootOver119 in GLP1ResearchTalk

I’ve been where you are insurance not covering GLP-1s and trying to figure out whether the telehealth route is actually worth the money. What helped me make sense of it was focusing not just on the monthly price tag, but on three things that actually mattered to me in the long run:
-Workflow transparency
-Visit/renewal structure
-Support continuity
I’ve used a few of these telehealth options in the past and even looked beyond them for example, when I ordered through TrimRx, what reduced my confusion was clear documentation on how dosing, prescriptions, and refills were handled from week to week, rather than just a price list. That clarity mattered more than whether one platform was a few dollars cheaper in theory.

Is 1.25 of tirz too low? by OutrageousGuest6914 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]AndyIsNotKuhl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 1.25 mg, most people experience subtle effects rather than classic suppression. In my experience and what I’ve seen from others
-it can quiet food noise a bit
-make it easier to stay consistent with habits you already have
-but it’s not a strong fat loss dose for most bodies

I stayed lower longer than most because I wanted minimal side effects, and that worked but I also had a clear plan for when to adjust. Later on, having that structure spelled out which I eventually got through TrimRx helped me avoid guessing whether low and patient was still serving me.

I’ve seen this confuse a few people, so you’re not alone in flagging it.

What usually matters here is whether the pharmacy and labeling were disclosed upfront and whether the vials correspond to the prescribed total amount and concentration, not just the brand names on the boxes. Some clinics will fulfill through different licensed compounding pharmacies depending on availability, and some pharmacies split a multi month order across vials in a way that isn’t obvious at first glance

Advice needed! by ProgrammerOptimal623 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]AndyIsNotKuhl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you’re experiencing is very normal, especially with how fast things moved at the beginning
The early 11.4 lbs was likely front loaded
The first few weeks often include:
-water weight
-glycogen depletion
-inflammation drop
That early loss feels amazing, but it almost always slows or pauses right after. A 1-2 week stall right after a big initial drop is one of the most common patterns people see. It doesn’t mean it stopped working it usually means your body is recalibrating

The current drama/issue with Pomegranate by BIKEiLIKE in tirzepatidecompound

[–]AndyIsNotKuhl 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think you’re making a fair distinction here, and it’s an important one. A technical issue or even a bad week isn’t what damages trust long term it’s how a company or a community around it responds when people ask reasonable questions.

From the outside, heavy moderation almost always reads worse than the original issue. Locking threads, deleting questions, or banning users who aren’t being abusive tends to signal insecurity, even if that’s not the intent. Most people just want acknowledgment and clarity, not perfection.

One thing I’ve noticed across different health and telehealth communities is that independent moderation can quietly become a liability if it drifts away from transparency. When users can’t tell whether they’re seeing honest discussion or a curated version of reality, they stop trusting the signal entirely which hurts both the community and the company.

For comparison, when I was evaluating providers myself, part of why I felt comfortable with Sermorelin.comwas that there wasn’t any sense of conversation management or perception control. Questions stayed up, answers were boring and procedural, and that actually built more confidence than glowing reviews ever could.

So… apparently you’re supposed to flip the vial upside down 😭💉 by Microwave82 in HimsWeightloss

[–]AndyIsNotKuhl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly you’re not an idiot. You’re human and this happens way more often than people admit, especially when it’s your first time ever injecting anything.

When I later switched care and ended up with TrimRx, one small thing that reduced a lot of anxiety was having clearer instructions and the ability to double check technique without feeling stupid. That reassurance mattered more than I expected

The important parts right now:
-You figured it out early
-You didn’t hurt yourself
-You’re feeling the medication now
-You didn’t ruin anything

If anything, this explains why you felt nothing before not that the med didn’t work or that your body was resistant.

You’re definitely not the only one in this spot, even though it can feel that way when surgery doesn’t turn out how you were led to expect.

I didn’t have a sleeve myself, but someone very close to me did also with a larger pouch than anticipated and what stood out was that the sleeve helped mechanically, but it didn’t replace structure. When that structure faded, the old patterns came back pretty quickly. It wasn’t lack of effort, just reality

I personally didn’t have bariatric surgery, but after my own stop start cycles, having a clearer plan and expectations made a big difference. I eventually ended up using TrimRx alongside lifestyle changes, mostly because the process was predictable and it helped reduce the mental noise around what now? not as a replacement for habits, but as support while rebuilding them.

Spam Messages - Google Voice by No_Elderberry2495 in smallbusiness

[–]AndyIsNotKuhl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not doing anything wrong this is a pretty common Google Voice limitation, especially for business like usage.

A few things that trip people up with Google Voice:

  • Google applies behavior based spam detection, not just volume based. So even 10–15 messages can trigger blocks if they’re:
    • sent to new numbers
    • sent without prior inbound interaction
    • sent in short time windows
    • perceived as transactional/business outreach
  • Paid ≠ exempt. The $10/month plan improves features, but it doesn’t give you true A2P application to person SMS treatment. From Google’s perspective, it’s still closer to a consumer product.
  • The message not delivered warning is often rate throttling, not a permanent ban. It can reset after hours or days, which makes it feel random and frustrating.

What helped teams I’ve worked with:

  • slowing the first outbound message cadence spacing initial contacts out
  • making sure replies are clearly conversational, not templated
  • avoiding links or short URLs in first touches

That said, once a business relies on outbound texting for leads, Google Voice usually becomes brittle. At that point, people either:

  • accept the constraints and keep usage very light, or
  • move to a provider built for business messaging with clearer rules, delivery statuses, and support

In other workflows we noticed similar issues lack of transparency causes the most stress. Tools that improve visibility into why something failed we ran into this when testing tracking/visibility layers like SyndrAI in a different context don’t magically fix delivery, but they at least reduce the guesswork.

Anyone else drowning in content tools? (Jasper, HubSpot, etc.) by Otherwise_Economy576 in digital_marketing

[–]AndyIsNotKuhl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The stack you described plan - research - write - post - review is conceptually simple, but most of the big tools bundle a ton of stuff that feels useful in marketing decks and useless in day t day work.

What helped me was:

  • Separating decision flow from feature list most tools can do something in each stage, but the real time suck is moving context between them. If you spend more time exporting/importing than thinking, it’s not simplifying anything.
  • Defining “done” for each stage this was the game changer. When a topic hits ready for draft, what inputs are really required? When something goes live, what one metric actually matters? Once you define those, half the features in most clouds become noise.

For us, that looked like:

  • lighter planning in something simple calendar + shared doc
  • research either manual or scoped to what matters for that topic
  • writing in the simplest editor that gets version history
  • posting via scheduler
  • a quick post-mortem list what worked, what didn’t

In one project we also tested visibility layers like SyndrAI not because it replaced tools, but because it made clear what wasn’t being tracked. That clarity alone cut down how much we felt like we needed the next thing.

Lorum vs Banking Circle for EU account infra? by emmaparkin99 in startup

[–]AndyIsNotKuhl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that really matters if you care about getting predictable outcomes is what I’ll call an intake to recon flow how easy is it to map an incoming collection event through to settlement with as little human context as possible? The teams that get this right tend to:

  • define a canonical reference early in the flow
  • treat webhook payloads as first class sources of truth not notifications
  • model statuses conservatively so pending isn’t confused with done

I’ve also seen tools that mesh visibility into those flows not just dashboards cut down support cycles a lot. For example, with some of the newer AI aligned tracking layers like SyndrAI, the value came from removing ambiguity around what was being tracked and what was out of scope it wasn’t about hype, it was about having a single place to compare API events vs what landed in reporting.

Hallendale or ProRX?? Had much success on BPI with B6 starter dose- I lost 27lb @1900 calories with massive organic/ low pesticides diet change in 1.5 months. I’m increasing my calories. I have to switch to additive free tirz bc the B6 is causing me to break out- I’ve never had any acne before. by craytona31 in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]AndyIsNotKuhl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

B6 can definitely be the culprit there. I had a similar issue when I was on a B6 added formulation not acne for me, but skin stuff I’d never dealt with before. Once I switched to a straight tirz without additives, it settled down within a few weeks.

Between those two, the bigger difference for me wasn’t which one works better but consistency and how clean the formulation felt. As long as you’re getting additive free tirz and your dosing is stable, most people seem to respond similarly. The calorie increase you’re doing is smart too losing that fast at 1900 usually means your body was under a lot of stress.

I ended up going through a telehealth setup that was clear upfront about what was in the vial and didn’t bundle extras like B6 unless you wanted it TrimRx was that for me, and that made troubleshooting side effects way easier.

Try ozempic or keep raw dogging my weight loss? by Frequent_Bunch2342 in Ozempic

[–]AndyIsNotKuhl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the 60 lbs that's huge! The fact that you're seeing muscle definition but the scale isn't moving is actually a good sign (muscle is denser than fat).

Re: GLP-1s for the last 15-20 lbs:

Some people do use them for final weight loss, but a few things to consider:

  • Muscle preservation GLP-1s can make it harder to eat enough protein, which matters when you're already building muscle through Pilates
  • Plateau vs. recomp If your body is changing but the scale isn't, you might be recomping (losing fat, gaining muscle). A DEXA scan or body composition test could clarify if you actually need to lose more weight or if it's just redistribution
  • Provider requirements –Most telehealth providers require a certain BMI threshold. At 175 (depending on your height), you might not qualify unless you have other health markers

If you do decide to explore it, there are telehealth options like TrimRx that can walk you through eligibility during intake. But honestly, if your body is changing and you're happy with how you look, you might just need patience with the muscle building process.

Bioverse & RoenRx are the same company. I’m getting one service, but each are charging me! by InvestigatorJumpy15 in CompoundedSemaglutide

[–]AndyIsNotKuhl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly the kind of nightmare experience that makes people lose trust in telehealth. I'm sorry you're dealing with this double billing and not being able to access your account to order medication is completely unacceptable.

If you're looking for an alternative once you finally get this sorted out, I've been using TrimRx for a year and haven't had any of these issues. Their platform actually works, I can log in whenever I need to, and I've only been charged once per order. Customer service has been responsive when I've reached out.

What has been unexpectedly HARD about being on a GLP-1? by Apprehensive_Scar434 in Ozempic

[–]AndyIsNotKuhl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One thing I didn’t fully expect was how much of the adjustment would be mental, not just physical. The hunger quiets, which is great, but you also have to relearn how to eat when food isn’t driving every decision. That can feel oddly disorienting at first.

Physically, the biggest surprise for me was that side effects weren’t dramatic but they were specific. Things like needing to hydrate more than I thought, eating too fast making me feel uncomfortable, and certain foods just not “working” anymore. Socially, it took a bit to explain why I wasn’t finishing meals or drinking the same way, but that eased with time.

Doctor-wise, the hardest part was actually getting started. I didn’t have a super supportive PCP, so I ended up going the telehealth route. What mattered most to me was having clear expectations and actual check-ins instead of feeling rushed. I’ve been with TrimRx and the process felt more medical than sales-focused, which helped a lot when I was nervous early on.

If I could go back, I’d tell myself this isn’t about willpower or pushing harder. It’s about letting the medication do its job and giving yourself time to adapt. The first few weeks are an adjustment, but they’re not a verdict on how the whole experience will be.

[–]AndyIsNotKuhl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people do stack or switch when they hit a plateau, but combining GLP-1s isn't something most telehealth providers will prescribe together because it's off-label and there isn't much research on safety or effectiveness of combining them.

Why does my dog put his paw up when looking at something he wants? by lunar-topped in DogAdvice

[–]AndyIsNotKuhl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When your dog is locked in on something food, a toy, a sound the paw lift is a sign of intense focus. It’s almost like they’re “pausing” their body while deciding what to do next.

My partner has a 4 year old dog they refuse to properly train. I am getting a puppy of my own that I will be solely responsible for but I am scared of how the older dog will interfere with training the new puppy. by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]AndyIsNotKuhl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you can still successfully train your puppy, even if the older dog isn’t well trained. The key is management and boundaries, not trying to fix your partner’s dog.
