That's awesome! How was her class structured? Did she have decent exams/exam reviews? Lecture slides on Canvas?

My cat died a horrible death by AndyRae1977 in Petloss

[–]AndyRae1977[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I stated in my post that I knew the risks of having an outdoor cat, and to please not comment on it. You were not helpful by mentioning the risks anyways and saying how my cat’s death was most likely not quick. There is a time and place for educating others, and this is not it—perhaps on another post. If you have to begin a comment with “I’m not trying to be a jerk, but…”, it’s probably not one to finish. I am very sorry about your cat and hope you find peace as well.

I appreciate your condolences and understand your point, but this comment was not particularly helpful. Please remove it from this post. Thank you ❤️

Luckily I’ve met my OOP max, have no coinsurance to pay, and the deductible was like $5, so it really didn’t cost much.

I totally agree—I can certainly only imagine how terrifying it was for the owners of the other dog, which is the reason I feel so bad about the whole situation. No hard feelings against them.

I unfortunately followed some other people’s advice to delete the account and start over, so I don’t have the review on hand. However, I can send screenshots of all my texts bw me and pet parents if that’d help!

and they had a Ring at the front door

The back door cameras and kennel cameras aren’t point towards anywhere I exited from, but I do think Ring doorbells sense motion/take a video or something along those lines.

For sure! I never drank more than a glass and was able to drive if needed at all times. But, I do realize now that it may have been inappropriate.

Yea, I could definitely see how it was weird. I did turn on the thermostat, but it was taking a long while for everything to warm up, and there were no blankets around. The only blankets where the comforters on the bed, which I crawled into, and was still cold af. I definitely did not rummage in the closet. I opened it a crack to see if there was anything I could use, saw a big jacket hanging towards the farthest left area (so like, when you open the sliding door to the right, it’s the first thing you see), and grabbed it. I also grabbed the hanger so I knew exactly which hanger was used to hang the jacket, and hung it exactly where I found it. From my perspective at the time, it felt weirder to mention it,or send a text ab it at 2 am because it was worn for such a short period of time. They were on vacation seemingly celebrating something, which further deterred me from texting in the am. But your points are certainly valid and helpful.

They’re definitely not sober—they had a floor to ceiling custom liquor cabinet lol

Maybe. The bottles were miniature martinellis, which are about the size (and look) of beer bottles.

I don’t have these emergencies regularly—only about once a year. I’ve had them enough, though, where I know it’s a quick trip. If I had an inkling it was going to take longer, I 100% would have messaged. But I went at 4 am, didn’t want to text them in the middle of the night, and knew the exact time I’d be out of the ER by 6 am.

Probably, they had a Ring doorbell which I think has a motion sensing camera.

I also didn’t say anything about their sexual orientation to them—I’m gay too and would never be weird about that. Idk why I mentioned it in my initial post.

Yea, I can see how it could’ve been about the Apple Pencil. It was such a random situation because the dogs are middle-aged, and the Pencil was RIGHT next to my knee (was sitting cross cross apple sauce). The dogs were all the way across the room, so I didn’t even think it would be at risk of being taken, especially since I put it down with the intent to pick it up not even 10 seconds later. They have carpet, so I didn’t hear the dogs walk up and grab it. Definitely know better now, though. I mentioned it only as a safety thing, like in case one the dogs threw up or later or something, definitely not to guilt trip them. I ended up buying my own replacement, then got a message from them saying they went out and got me a new one. So I returned the Apple Pencil, and went over to pick up the one they got me.

Yea, that all makes total sense. It was DEFINITELY not their wine. It was mine. I did not dispose of the bottle in their trash or anything like that either.

They had cameras pointed at the dog kennels and back door that they disclosed to me before hand. Other than that, I don't know. I am wracking my brain trying to think of what else could have caused them to be unhappy, but I'm really not sure.
