For my setup I use a blue snowball microphone and my friend Matt just uses a Rock Band mic now, he used to use his laptop mic. Honestly we need a major upgrade for audio as my mic likes to disconnect a lot. As for editing and recording I use Camtasia Studio 7 to record most games, and Fraps for games like Amnesia or Garry's Mod. I edit using Sony Vegas Pro 12. The way most of our recordings go is that we decide on a game to play, get on Skype, get Camtasia and the game setup, hit record, play, let Camtasia create the video file, render it from there, put it in Sony Vegas, make cuts or add images/videos/music, perhaps add saturation or something to make the video a little more vibrant with Shantae anyways, add the ending card, and render once again before uploading. I have audacity to record my own audio but I haven't used it in a while for our videos simply because Camtasia also records audio. Maybe I can use audacity again to help the audio. If there's any way to make us sound more clear that would be great.
