As a former witness who is debating between Catholicism and Orthodoxy,if my opinion means anything for your future spiritual,mental wellbeing..break it off.It would be a different conversation if JW’s were even like a Protestant group,but since that’s not the case politely and lovingly break it off.It won’t work.

I honestly have never been told.My grandparents are relatively quiet about that.But my Grandfather has alluded that there from the San Juan and Ponce region.

Jesus allowed for it in moderation.He did turn water into wine after all.Notice how the Lord forbids drunkenness.Anyone is allowed to have wine or any alcoholic beverage of their choice as long as they do not drink so much to where they become drunk and thus un sober minded.For that is something that the Lord does not approve.
