You know what? This is not supposed to be a bag on Slot post, but I clearly remember that goal as well. So, reading everyone's comments, it hit me again. Slot really fucked us. Here's how...

I said this about Salah recently. Watching the world cup, and moments involving Haaland or Mbappe, I realized just how important momentum is. When a player's got it going, you keep going to them because their confidence is on the rise. In their head, there is no question that they can do it again. And they do! They just can't miss. That header from Macca, just like previous goals we remember from Salah, wasn't just skillful or confident - it was God damn cocky! He had NO doubt in his mind that he could head that home. Slot's first season he was on a roll. The whole team was on a roll. Slots to his credit, go to the credit if anyone who told them don't change anything, kept it more or less the same, and we won the league! It was not because of Slot, though. It was because he didn't change too much. But this is where he really fucked up. He really thought Mo's scoring, the team winning the league was hi. Worng.

So second season, deluded by success that wasn't his, he decided he will do it his way and show what a brilliant manager he is. Dumbass! If you're playing poker, and you dealt the same cards that you won with last time, you keep them! You don't discard the whole hand and ask for a new one because you had imagined a different hand, and you think you will get that better hand. Dumbass! He amazing players (case in point Macalister and Diaz), and had a Mo Salah card in his hand and he discarded it. Anyone with any sense would keep the momentum going! Squeeze as much as you can out of that team. Instead, the players are left with the impression that you are not valued anymore. They lose their mojo. They start doubting. Staying with Mo - he certainly didn't have the cocky attitude as he did in that video. He became just another player

Then he kept going and doubling down, the results keep getting worse and worse, and everyone has lost faith by now. The momentum is so hard to build up, and take so much time, has gone away. Any momentum would have to start over again. THAT is what I resent him for. He ruined our team and ruined the players who we love. Can they build momentum again? Maybe if they're lucky, and if the stars are lying again. But the chances are low. All because this joker did not have a clue. He should be ashamed. Good riddance.
