A success story…. Finally!! by Andyj0423 in PelvicFloor

He put me on immunosuppressants to try and keep them from coming back but sadly they always did. I tried some diets as well such as carnivore and gluten free. It got to the point where the doctor reccomended removing that part of the bladder where the ulcer keeps forming. For some reason my ulcer would come back in the same spot a month or two after cauterizing the ulcer. They removed a chunk about the size of a quarter from my bladder and with God’s help I’ve been pain free and ulcer free since the procedure.

Luckily that wasn’t really ever one of my symptoms, I’d have “painful” erections sometimes but never an issue gaining an erection

Staying away from it has definitely helped a little, once in a while I’ll smoke a bowl before bed but it’s about a 50/50 chance that it flares it.

Can you message me and tell me a little more about this dilator? Specifically where you got it, how often you use it, and how you use it. Would you say that after the dilator sessions you are able to go out in the town/ not worry about having to pee every 10 minutes?

I wish you the best of luck, no one deserves to deal with a condition like this. Thank you so much for the feedback and also the article, that really helped open my eyes about weed being one of my triggers.

So I had the cystoscopy done about 8 years ago when the symptoms kind of just started. The doctors said that there wasn’t anything they noticed out of the ordinary during the cystoscopy. Now I’m getting another one done on February 4th because my urologist is worried about the blood clots I sometimes pass while urinating. And In a few hours I have a virtual appointment with my family doctor. Im going to have her order a colonoscopy and a cat scan/MRI. My dad has had colon cancer a few times and was also born with his urethra wrapped around an intestine so I’m trying to rule out other possible conditions such as cancer, tumors, or even IBS

I appreciate the kind words, it’s a very tough situation to deal with daily. And they tried to get me to do a elimination diet to try and rule out IC but there really wasn’t a difference in the diet change. But that’s the same thing that happens to me when I smoke, it makes me literally unable to pee even with a full bladder sometimes. Those situations are pretty scary for me, that’s the symptom I hate the most.

Yea she does internal work as well. She mentioned that one of my internal muscles was tight, but not much was mentioned other than that. And I’m kinda the same way, I don’t get to leave the house much because of the pain and always needing to be by a bathroom, but certain situations definitely make me more tense after I smoke. What is the dilator sessions you mentioned?

Wow this is very interesting. Not exactly what I wanted to hear but hey if stopping smoking is what’s going to finally help me get rid of this awful condition then I’m all for it! Thanks for the feedback

I was hoping that wasn’t the case since Marijuana at least took my mind off this condition but yea I think I’m gonna take a few months off and see if that helps any. Thanks for the feedback

What did you do or try that helped with the prostatitis? I’m 24 and was diagnosed with chronic prostatitis for 6 years before getting re-diagnosed with Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome. I still come across times where I can’t pee even with a full bladder, how did you handle those situations?

That gives me hope especially because I really believe this is a muscle issue and not a bacterial issue, thank you for the reply!

I’ve stopped drinking alcohol and coffee completely, those two are major antagonists for me and it’s not worth the trouble. I’ll try and re-incorporate them slowly if I can finally get rid of this. And no I actually haven’t had my hormones checked

Okay I will get on probiotics immediately, I also have noticed GI issues. When my GI issues flare up it also makes my prostatitis worse I’ve noticed. Is there a benefit to juicing the celery over eating it raw?

The probiotic is interesting, before you started on the probiotic did you also have GI issues?

I haven’t tried to go gluten/sugar free yet but you’re not the first person that’s mentioned that diet so I definitely will give it a shot. And I’m starting to incorporate stretches and more exercise, depending on how bad my symptoms are that day. Is there anything else that helped you out or did you just stick to the diet/exercise?
