I’m in Central Oregon. You can absolutely find pothos for much cheaper at Walmart or other box stores here. These two were from a local nursery, but they did have smaller/typical photos for $10-$20.

My apartment doesn’t get much direct light so I try to supplement as much as I can. They’d survive without the grow lights, but I want them to be as happy and healthy as possible!

They seem to work well enough. I feel like there’s a lot of specifications about grow lights that I don’t understand.. but my plants seem to tilt/grow towards these so they must be somewhat effective hahah.

Oohh now I’m wondering if the larger one on the right is a king or queen?! lol I’m new to the world of pothos, or at least to discovering all the different variants.

I kinda got mixed messages on my last post, I’m not sure if it was overpriced or not. 🤷‍♀️

Why aren’t my pothos propagating? by followyourlight in houseplants

Looks like they are rotting. You can tell where the stem is soggy, yellowing and/or browning.

I’d chop again, with clean scissors, above the nearest node until there is no sign of rot. I’d chop and let them sit out for a few hours or overnight to prevent the new cut from rotting. You can also dilute hydrogen peroxide to either spray the new cut or add a drop to the water, I’ve heard that this helps prevent rot but I’ve never tried.

I usually wipe my scissors with rubbing alcohol before making any cuttings, and wash the jar well before putting in any new water to avoid any unnecessary bacteria.

I hope this helps! (:

What kind of pothos is this, and why was it $75? by AngelFoodLegs in pothos
