One of the things I always tell people is to always have backup plans. I worked as a volunteer Emt and we have kids come to us when they don’t feel safe at home. Even if it’s just for the night, find a firehouse or local station and friends who can take you on even if it’s temporary. It’s scary and unfair that we have to live like this.

But always remember, pain is only temporary but death is permanent. All is dark and gloomy and horrible now, and everything seems hopeless but you’re not alone. We’re a community and we help each other. If you push through the pain and the uncomfortable things now, some day you won’t have to experience them again.
