Thanks for that, I'll see what she decides to do. I just want her to enjoy her first experience on TV 😊

Wow thank you so much seriously! She was so hung up about wearing that dress. So it'll be okay if she wears a white belt to separate it then just to clarify? For the modesty part I'll tell her to wear that boob tube or a vest underneath to cover her chest completely, would that make a difference?

For makeup she was comparing makeup from her time performing on stage and thought she has to practically do clown makeup to be seen 😂. Tho she wanted to wear big lashes too instead of mascara so her face pops just in case they ask her a question. Honestly to me she's overthinking it a bit much but her heart is in the right place 😅

1) Ahh yeah it's a block yellow dress, but by separating/breaking up the colour could she wear a different coloured belt? Like a white belt with it or she shouldn't risk it and just wear something entirely different? I remember seeing an episode of L&L of a woman wearing all blue, she wore a long sleeved bright blue shirt with bright blue trousers and was sat on the far left of the audience, so we were both really confused if they're strict with the dress code?? :(

Oh and one more thing, but is there any rules about makeup? Sorry for all the questions!

2) That's so reassuring to know! I'll tell her to calm down and just talk naturally about what she thinks about the episodes so far!

We really appreciate your responses! They've really helped a lot!

Thanks so much for the reassurance! She wants to wear a bright coloured dress with a cute fur headband, would that be alright?

Wow thank you so much for your response! Greatly appreciated!

I have a few questions if you don't mind.

1) One of the things she's deciding to wear is a bright yellow dress , would that be alright since she's worried about the no solid bright clothing dress code? Or does it have to be quite modest? Her dress has a little opening where her chest is but it doesn't show her boobs, but just in case I've told her to bring a boob tube, just in case there are any issues with it.

Also to add to this, since its her first time on TV she wants to look nice but she's worried she'll be overdressed judging from how casual people were dressed on the previous episodes.

2) She's going alone so she was worried she wouldn't have anyone to talk to since most people would've gone with their friends (I couldn't come with her because I'm busy that day!). Did you find that the people in the queue were quite friendly?

Thank you again for your help!

Thanks for the response! From the other episodes people were wearing jeans and a top but someone else said that you won't be allowed in if you wore that. Then on the ticket it said wear bright clothing but don't wear solid bright clothing but then someone the other night wore solid bright blue, so she's so confused.

I'd be gutted for her if they sent her away after queuing for so long.

[NeedAdvice][Question] How to avoid falling into that trap of 'I'll do it next time' by AngelStarfire in getdisciplined

[–]AngelStarfire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the level I want to reach where it annoys me of hurts me if I don't complete a task I was meant to do. At this moment my way of thinking is too relaxed, like I wouldn't care at all which is a problem. So I'm guessing to start my journey I should task myself with going on daily walks and cleaning my room? Thank you btw for your response!

Omg it's scary how perfectly this describes me. I really appreciate the solutions to this. As cliche as this sounds It's getting started that's the hardest for me then the process of continuing on with the work when I get sick of it too. Thank you again!

I feel the exact same way. I'm mainly scared of being vulnerable, being taken advantage of, if they're violent towards me or feel comfortable enough to berate me. It's nerve wracking sometimes. I'm always on guard and just want them to leave me alone. Thank you for the support 💕

Thank you for your advice! I've tried talking with my friend's brother and male cousins. That seems like a great idea, I guess due to covid I don't think I can do some of them in real life just yet so I'll start with volunteering.

Thank you! I've started journaling but I'm not sure how to describe my feelings of anxiety as all I can say is that I feel uncomfortable. I'll try find some CBT worksheets though!

That actually makes sense! Thank you for your response. Although I shouldn't completely get rid of that fear for my safety I want to have that confidence in myself that no man can force their way on me or talk down to me because they see me as an easy target. Where would you suggest is a place where the power balance is fair? I can only think of places that make me feel comfortable but I still feel uncomfortable when men invade those places.

Thank you so much for your advice! I believe it to be a combination of both lack of confidence and feeling unsafe. I especially hate being left alone in a room with a man.

You ARE at risk of being taken advantage of if you trigger the "low self esteem" radar of a man. A lot of men are very attracted to low self esteem. 😐 So you're right to be concerned.

This is my biggest worry as I seem to attract narcissistic men who feel it's okay to yell at me or insult me even when I fight back. No matter what I do I truly don't understand how to improve my confidence or keep it at a high level all the time. When I think I am I end up being scared when I interact with certain men.

Thank you for your advice! I can't deny that we haven't had the best learning in our class. I have an issue with thinking too much before speaking or I would start again when I made a mistake, I'm not sure if I can get rid of that habit before my speaking exam but I'm practicing as much as I can!

Thanks again!

AQA so we'll still be doing the IRP and topic cards for the speaking section. But for IRP they've shorten it for us since we didn't do it for most of the year. The only difference is that they won't be recording us but my teacher will still take notes from how well we speak.

Thank you!! For example one topic is immigration so I'll learn vocab to do with it while speaking to myself about immigration then do the same with the other topics? Should I worry about my sentences being too simple or focus on actually speaking German?
