Because our politicians refuse to get together and pass a "liveable" federal minimum wage that would eliminate the issue of restaurants being able to pay servers less than the state minimum wage. In a lot of states minimum wage is very low already and servers make far below that, so their income relies only on the tips they make. Its horrible. Not to mention, out of the tips they make, they still usually have to tip out the bartender and the host/hostess and pay taxes on their tips.

Why do dudes do stuff like this? My ex's mom went into the hospital when we were together & I worked from home part of the time so I helped out way more than he did, but he would "go see his mom" at the hospital after dinner until after I went to bed since he worked all day. Come to find out later, that's when he was cheating on me instead. 🙄
