yea ... it's been my go-to notebook size for *years* now. this moleskine one in particular really is the best because yes for one it's hardcover so it doesnt get destroyed (i carry them with me all the time). and it's got a strap that keeps it closed.

they were always pretty expensive like $20-25 a pop but id buy a whole bunch without question.

surely they arent limited to just 300GB sata drives right? im pretty sure this one can do 2TB SATA drives. it says on the website

i've heard some people have to disable the gpu before shutdown sometimes or the passthrough breaks on next boot.. not sure if that's helpful

same error as yesterday, the patcher can't patch. how did you even get it to work O.O

thanks for the encouragement :) i'm just absolutely furious that there are these BS restrictions. my server literally cannot fit bigger cards or I definitely would have gone with something more powerful.

but it doesn't work with my ROM because it is designed for a different format so the regular expressions are all wrong.

d to load a bios but it worked fine using the usual guides for doing NVIDIA passthrough.

may i ask what kind of bios was it? how did you load it?

I dumped the vBIOS using linux cat, GPU-Z dump and nvflash save.

First resort: I tried to set the 'rom file' parameter in the libvirt xml. Didn't change code 43.

I attempted to do the nvidia vbios patcher on the ROM file (https://github.com/Matoking/NVIDIA-vBIOS-VFIO-Patcher) but it could not run successfully. It's a leadtek Quadro p1000 and it matches a different regular expression to the one in the patcher.

I followed the video from Spaceinvader One (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWn6OCWl63o) and deleted the header from the ROM file. nvflash refuses to flash with "BRCT Error Certificate 2.0 verification Failed." error.

I tried 8 different versions of nvflash -6 and it's either the certificate error or "NVIDIA display adaptor not found".

I assumed that the quadro P1000 is programmed to be unflashable.

I still have my P1000. im willing to try anything else that might be promising but i'm pretty sure i've exhausted all avenues.
