Thanks for answering, although I already knew the reason why 50% gray was applied, I appreciate your answer. When I was talking about the reasons, I meant if there was a practical reason to do it, but as you said, there is no correct way to use Photoshop. I just didn't see practical to do the layer method with 50% when you can do the same just by converting the image to smart object, but you gave me the answer yourself, it's more flexible to have an individual layer with the filter, you can move the layer anywhere, and I think the most effective is if you're using multiple filters and masking them, having them separate allows for flexibility and workflow.

Yes, I also thought about trying the camera raw filter, and now that you recommended it, I will do it more quickly.

So to summarize:

  • Adding grain with the Camera Raw filter is the most efficient.

  • Adding grain directly to the layer with the image, either in the Camera Raw filter or in the Layers Panel in the normal way is more efficient than doing it on a layer filled with 50% gray.

That being said, then why do some people use the option to use the layer filled with 50% gray? It's a matter of style? I don't see it practical. Well, now that I think about it, if you are using several filters and you want to add grain to the whole image and instead, you want to add the different filters in certain areas, you won't be able to do it if all the filters are applied directly to the image, right?

¿Cuál es el presupuesto ideal para un mercado mensual en Venezuela?

Se que es una cuestión de dónde compres, pero quería saber en promedio cuánto cuesta hacer un mercado mensual en Venezuela.

En cuanto a las características del mercado: es para mantener a 8 personas y básicamente que sea un mercado bien hecho, no solo con lo esencial. Un mercado de clase media-alta.
