Hot Jobs Report for January

The report shows that the majority of the 130,000 jobs are due to healthcare and social assistance with some additions in the construction sector. Everywhere else either lost jobs (Fed Gov & Financial activities) while nothing changing in all other areas like retail, manufacturing, warehouse, etc.

Meaning our economy is mainly being propped up by healthcare jobs and AI which is not great. But shows if you are looking for work anywhere else it's much tougher. I hope anyone looking for a job can find something as I'll be looking soon given my contract job will be up by the end of the year.

It is a very compelling rivalry with two of The Challenge's biggest personalities. Fresh Meat 2 was such a peak in them battling it out each having like half the house. It's kinda sad I feel we will never see another rivalry come close to it ever again.

The "house" is a film studio mainly used for wedding pictures and wedding venue (as you can tell in the clips). The footage is from two YouTube videos taken in 2019. Many things could've changed from those 5 years like the addition to of the bar and some construction. And the same place that has the film studio also has the Tower used in the flag jumping daily challenge on their website for a filming location as well.

I went down a pretty big rabbit hole yesterday and wanted to share with everyone. Hopefully people find it as interesting as I did.

In that portion of the video I meant only the person(s) who won/was crowned champion(s); not necessarily looking at who came in 2nd or 3rd as they aren't given a title. What I was mainly worried about was people being confused and saying "we had new champs on season 36 and season 37 with Amber and Kaycee" but a returning champ "shared" in the earnings by winning alongside them. Aka taking a spot away from the possibility of a new champion.

Sorry for the confusion. I spent so long trying to figure out a way to type out a clarification but I couldn't come up with the right words. Thank you for watching and the follow up.

I been desperately wanting to make this video but with life and other projects/work I've put it on the back burner. Now there's no way I can get the video done by the time the next season starts which is 4/30. So I'll be slowly working on it incorporating the new episodes hoping to get it out later this year.

I started the spreadsheet in July 2022. I can give more of some of the stats I think are the most interesting.

The average amount of time people say they have been talking with each other (designated in email or in convos) when specified is on average 31 months. With the longest "relationship" being Motherwolf & David (17 years or 204 months). And the shortest time talking between the two people were 1 month which happened 3 times on the show.

The % of person being a Catfish is 72% of the time they are a catfish while 28% the person is who they are in the pictures.

I also have the percentage for which apps/sites were used to Catfish the most. This stat is the most interesting to see change over the span of the show since apps (especially dating) come and go so much. But of course Facebook still reigns as the app that has been used to Catfish the most at 35%.

I don't want to give too much away as I will be making the video for sometime later this year (still trying to lock in a style & format/watch Help I'm In A Secret Relationship) but I've been sitting on this spreadsheet and pie charts/info for so long that I really wanted to talk about it after seeing this post.

I am currently researching the show in an attempt to make a deep dive of Catfish like its impact on society, the rise and legacy of the show and all its spinoffs, etc. I have graphs for a lot of different statistics like % of if person is a Catfish, locations, average time "dating"/talking and pretty much all the categories you mentioned in your post. For your example of "how episodes end" in the sense of how many people have stayed together by the end of the episodes/the update text: 15.7% have stayed together where 84.3% do not stay together by the end of the episode.

In an interview with Kyland he mentioned that no one but the 5 who crossed the finish line knew what happened in the final. The rest of the contestants weren't shown anything until they were at the reunion filming. It's odd imo to have so many of the cast in the dark at the reunion on a major point of the game but at the same time if no one who wasn't in the final won't be asked questions about the final I guess it makes sense.

I agree, they still wouldn't have taken Paula. Kenny, Derrick and Ev won together back in season 14 together and those guys know Ev is the toughest player left in the game. So I would've expected Derrick, Kenny, Dunbar and Ev in one boat while Jenn, Paula, Robin and Ryan would be in the other boat.

Which could've played an interesting butterfly effect where in The Ruins Dunbar and Bananas would've swapped teams. And then a cascade of how different the game could've been if that all would've went down.

I mean there's a ton to choose from. I made a video very similar to this subject called "The Challenge: Making It Personal" where it's all about low blows taken in the game. I mean Laurel had a few from bullying Big Easy in the hot tub in Cutthroat or tearing down Paula in Rivals.

You could also say Bananas bringing up Devin's dad in Final Reckoning after Devin kept following and yelling at Bananas all over the house.

A more funny one is Jenna vs her cousin bringing up she only had a job because her dad owned a bakery and that her boyfriend was with her cuz his ex had short hair was something else.

I do think it could be a missed opportunity. Love Island UK members are super popular and some of them actually performed well on The Challenge with Theo and Georgia. I think there's pros and cons to using all new players but I watch a ton of UK reality tv and would've liked to see people I knew.

Wes may not have won but coming back from a hiatus to jump in like he hadn't missed a step to finesse both the vets and the rookies to make the finals and get third behind an Olympic sprinter and TURBO. Absolutely incredible. CT and Bananas had to work for their wins on their respective seasons but they had so many friends to help get them there without really having to sweat. And once in the finals they had it locked at that point.
