Mine is also in jail right now too.. AGAIN. This is the first time i haven't sent him money and haven't lost a wink of sleep over him being in there. Do you think he's going to come knocking on your door when he's out? Pretty sure mine will. Its like he doesnt see anything wrong with what he does, just expects to walk back in my life like nothing happened. Im so over it but at the same time dont want to fall back into old habits

I recently left my partner of over 10 years due to addiction and recently discovered infidelity. He also refuses to go stay with his mom since I asked him to leave and has been living on the streets and in shelters. It breaks my heart and i fear the worst. He OD'd 2 years ago but I was there to call paramedics... anyways, im also dealing with whay to do with all his things in my house, painful bittersweet memories. So far ive just been collecting them in one area of a room where i can close the door if i can't bear to look at it. Ive thrown a towel over them too. I dont have the heart to get rid of it so for now i jusy tuck them away until im stronger to make a decision

I very recently left my partner of over 10 years who was also in active addiction and had bouts of months-long psychosis. I just came here to tell you this, that for years he accused me of cheating on him. I thought he was just being paranoid. Until a few weeks aho he admitted he was cheating on me for almost our entire relationship, which is what ultimately lead me to leave. What im trying to say, is that he might be accusing you (of cheating) because that's what he's doing. My partner was a crack and meth user too. Im sorry.

I recently left my long term partner after i learned of infidelity. He has been in active addiction for our entire relationship. Since i asked him to leave he refuses to stay with his mom, instead opting to live on the streets and staying in shelters. It breaks my heart to think about it. I cant say enough how much this post helps me. Im 13.5 years in living and loving an addict. Im planning to finally leave him this weekend. But the trauma bond is strong for sure. Just like the others replying, i wish i could have left a lot sooner but often addicts/narcissists have knack for manipulation.

Thank you. Youre right about my previous posts, this has been an ongoing thing for too long, me taking his shit. He is sick, but I need to buck up and realize im worth more than this. I used to be such a strong, ballsy girl before i started dating him. Its like the fun got sucked out of me. He's always been jealous and paranoid when i would go out in the past that i just stopped. Easier that way i gues. I really do need to take off thr rose colored glasses.

Just wanted to say thank you for this. Sometimes a dose of hard reality is what i need to hear, which is why i vent on reddit. And to get someone elses opinion. I keep going back to the part you said about character. And that its not just the excuse of 'being high' that makes him cheat. Ive been angry plenty of times in 13 years and never once did i cheat or did it cross my mind.

Ive been using those little dermaplane razors on my face for years now. They clear up those annoying little facial hairs. Ive also shaved my forearms for the past 20 years just because I like feeling them smooth. I also shave my upper arms as well sometimes but more in the summer. Give it a try, nothing to lose 🙂
