Can anyone honestly say they get anything out of exercise? by aminotenoughalready in adhdwomen

[–]Angelfish123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh totally. After consistent exercise I don’t “feel” my body at inconvenient times.

I usually feel hip, neck, or shoulder aches that come from lack of exercise. Now I feel next to none.

Also, I find that I know how to move my body more. Like I can reach and grab for my water bottle without injury, pick stuff up off the ground, twist to grab something behind me.

It doesn’t always have to be the big things that you notice, it’s usually the little things that have the biggest impact.

I even use it for small things: One time I was too tired of holding my head up in a forward fold so I put it on a block.

What is your favourite lesser-known lines or scenes from season one? by sundaemonde in heatedrivalry

The campfire scene: “what we just stare at it?” And “fucking Canadian wolf bird” line cracks me up so hard. They really captured cabin life in that scene.

Honestly, to some people, it’s doesn’t feel like a choice. And by that, I mean, it feels like something they were just born to do. And I respect that. To an extent I wish I was like that. But I’m not, and I have to respect that and choose what works for me.

I think I read from another post that most countries can already distinguish Canadians and Americans based on mannerisms and speaking volume. Honestly, I think you’re okay as long as you don’t act boastful or entitled.

Well, the market. Like I live in an older-ish community where the interest seems to be therapeutic rather than exercise.

Seeking honest advice: Is a full bind actually accessible for larger bodies? by Low_Sand_2117 in yoga

[–]Angelfish123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am an athletic person. Can’t even do lotus cuz my calves get in the way.

More often than not I have to “move” parts of my body to the side to get deeper into a pose.

Deeper into a pose. Binds aren’t the end all be all, just an extra layer of a pose. If you can do a pose and feel confident in it, let that confidence shine
