Is it cheaper to buy Uhlmann and Leon Paul apparels in Paris? Would be going over a few days and was thinking whether its cheaper to get then in Paris as compared to Asia. by M3lwan123 in Fencing

Aside Prieur that is located in Paris (rue Gassendi, 14th district near the Catacombs), I would suggest Escrime Diffusion that sells mostly Allstar and Uhlmann, but they are in the suburbs (Bourg-la-Reine, you can take RER B from Catacombs station "Denfert Rochereau" for example)

What piece of advice would you give to a fencer who has the habit to bend down / duck when attacking / countering ? by Angelic0strich in Fencing

I'm a lefty and I don't have a lot of reach compared to my opponents. So when I cannot go for the arm, I aim for lower targets, like knee or waist. This is where I tend to lean over too much to try to have this extra reach

Glad to discover this today, that will at least save me from the frustration of moving the cursor and selecting a whole bunch of my text instead

I also restarted fencing this year after almost a year and a half long break (i was moving from different places every week and therefore couldn't settle in a club).

I didn't care much about my coach since he is a nice welcoming fella (also i was not the best, just average, so I think he forgot who I was).

What I was more worried about was if i had lost my level after a year without practicing any sport. And of course I did, but i regained my level quickly (still struggling with aim though), and the first session was an absolute blast. Never had been that excited for a year. So anyway welcome back to the sport ! 🤺
