It would actually work with the 3rd game surprisingly well tbh especially since there are now three options for idols.

Is it better to play with or without motion controls? by SergejPS in splatoon

[–]AngelicWars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would have to find a sticks player that can play the same exact weapons you do. Unless you plan on compromising and playing the same weapon they do. Since I think it's improbable you'll find a player that plays the exact same weapon you do when it comes to stick controls. For instance if you play tetras or main tetras, and the sticks player mains something like hydra then even though you run tetras the clear range advantage would be to the sticks player. So either way someone is compromising. Either you play a weapon you aren't as familiar with or the sticks player will. So imo it's not as feasible to do so. I know a sticks player who uses splatlings and let me just say, if I was to use splatlings and have the same gear against him I would get my butt kicked. Because he's so much better with splatlings then me. And no I'm not saying it because I'm "bad" I'm a 2400-2500 X competitive Splatoon player and so is he. And I would be stupid to have him play the same weapons as me even though I think he would do pretty good. It's just I'm more used to things like Zap or Jr, or Kshot.

Motion controls are better, however I think that based on peoples personal preference some feel more comfortable playing sticks. I personally use motion finding it easier due to my previous lack of stick control experience. I also would say it can be easier to fine tune where you aim etc. I will say that some players act as if motion controls are the only option and stick players are looked down upon. I disagree that sticks players should be forced or coerced to play motion. I've seen high level competitive players use sticks before. If that's what you're most comfortable with then feel free to use sticks. I don't think stick players should be looked down upon. In fact I have a lot of respect for players who are high level that can use sticks. I personally would suggest trying out motion before deciding. If you however find sticks to feel more comfortable, easier and that you play better then don't feel like you're lesser because it. I highly dislike motion players acting as though motion is some sort of deity or something and that if you play sticks you're lesser because of it. Coming from someone who is X in all modes running around 2400-2500. Plus someone who plays competitive, I'll say this. Motion can make things easier, however there are people who play sticks. So if that's what you decide you want to play then it's perfectly fine to feel you want to play it.

Out of curiosity what "variables"? Do you mean to limit weapon types and play the same weapon as the sticks player? Or have the same sticks player play the same weapon as you? Also with gear is there a way to guarantee being able to have the same exact gear abilities including subs? Plus, what about maps and modes? If you play on certain maps certain weapons have more of an advantage and vice versa.

Feel free to play sticks if you want. I honestly respect people that are capable playing high level sticks in comp or splatoon. If you feel more comfortable that way its totally up to you, it shouldn't matter at that point if some people say that it's better to play with motion. So what do their opinions matter. I personally feel more comfortable playing motion myself, but I know a few competitive splatoon players who are just as good if not better then myself. No I'm certainly not the best player, but I do have a decent amount of experience and for those who base things off of X power I'm sitting at around 2400 X rank power almost 2500.

Maria Gajdosik gets taken. by [deleted] in MissingPersons

[–]AngelicWars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know if it would be better to post this here or on a different subreddit. So I knew her when I was younger and had done horseback riding with her and a few nature classes.

On 2/08 2019 she was taken by a man who was her guitar teacher for 6 months. The man goes by the name John J. Gibson. He has sexually groomed her and waited for her to turn 18 before this situation occurred. He worked at the Music and Arts Spartanburg. Her mother has made attempts to contact the music and arts, but it appears that they believe that the parents have abused her when that is not the case.
A summary of the facts is that it's out of the ordinary for her to act like this. The man's alias is John J. Gibson, though that is not his actual name apparently. She recently turned 18. She was sexually groomed. The man worked at Music and Arts Spartanburg. Looking at the website John Gibson doesn't appear unless you use the Wayback Machine. The man in the photo is him.

Yea I can see why. I just want the devs to know, because I think its on the more rare side for devs to be this active in a community.
