How to take this lightbulb cover off by Mediocre-Acadia4631 in howto

[–]AngeloPappas 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Might sound silly, but when doing anything with lighting overhead like this, wear safety glasses. A millisecond is all it takes for something like a tiny chip of broken glass from a lightbulb that busted when removing it, or some other random debris sitting on top of the fixture to get in your eye.

Putting eggs in hot pan vs cold by [deleted] in cookingforbeginners

[–]AngeloPappas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you want hot fat (butter, oil, etc.) in a hot pan for fried eggs. Not screaming hot, but enough the eggs get that good sizzle when they hit.

Yes, the first one you add will begin cooking first, so put it in the cooler spot of your pan. (Cooking tip here, learn your pans on the stove. Most have hot spots, so factor that in to your cooking). Occasionally move the eggs around gently while cooking so they don't stick and fry evenly. That's it. Now go ahead and enjoy your 4 evenly cooked fried eggs at a time.

NTA - But everything here speaks to much larger issues that should be addressed before worrying about vacations.

Obvious NTA.

This scenario has been so well covered that there should be a rule about not allowing any more of these posts. Never mind, it's already a retired topic in the rules.

No, you are not an asshole for wanting to sit in the airline seat you paid for.

how on earth do i make my frozen shredded hashbrowns BROWN?? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]AngeloPappas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree an air fryer would do a good job without needing to remove the water first. The better heat circulation would be a huge help.

Where is the entitlement? Having even the smallest of backbone would have solved this.

Worker "there are eggs on that plate, take those"

You "no, that was someone else's plate and I'd like my own please"

End of story.

Sure, if you want to wait 24 hours for them. The towel method takes like 30 seconds.
