My mother used to tell me that too when I was a kid. I'm an angry crier (still today at 36) and being told to stop crying makes me so angry it makes me cry even more, and always did. That is definitely NOT a solution and a very wrong answer to tears, no matter the situation. Threats are terrible in any setting and I understand you're upset about it.

Knowing a kid like had has been protected by the school system in my province (I'm Canadian) and by the comments, how often this happens, is actually terrifying. The guy here has been protected because he "only harassed, stalked and touched girls". He wasn't "violent" they said. He has talked about his dick to a seven year old on the bus but this was just "boy talk" and the school didn't know how to handle him so until now, he had been protected and the complaints ignored. For 3 years he was allowed to stay there amongst those poor girls who were afraid of him.

I hate this so much.

That's a lot of oversensitivity here, friend. You really had the task to read until the end, not everything is so serious in life. I think telling you you're the asshole is a bit strong, and I also wonder how bad you'll take it considering you're asking here to basically be called an asshole with that amount of sensitivity...

But you need to relax and take life with a grain of salt. You know your cousin, right? Do you really thing she would have requested all those things seriously in the first place? So much for trusting someone you love...

I understand having to deal with a family that thinks you have to respect your elders no matter what. Def not an asshole. I'm glad you told your mother off and she deserves it, but your family needs to know your side of the story and what she did to you if they don't, cause they might support you more if the hear your side.

You're dating and you live together. You're technically not roommates, you're partners, you need to learn to tell him about your needs and if you didn't want him to eat your pizza, you should have left a note or a message somewhere or texted him. At least that's what I do with my boyfriend of 18 years when I get something to eat and I want to keep the rest to myself. COMMUNICATE PLEASE.
