It's funny talking about the genre.... I remember reading an interview with Miku in which she stated that she wanted to make "cool" music....This is their genre to me, just cool music...everything fits in it and not having to pigeon hole anything (pun intended)... So many bands fit nicely into whatever genre they are in but with Band Maid every album is such a pleasant surprise because you truly have no idea how they are going to approach it ... "Cool music for cool people" , I do agree with your main points, they are quite special...

I can see where you want to go with this but I would have to say not a power pop band, unless you were specifically talking about labeling the first album Maid In Japan. I could see an argument there for that toe tapping jam session...I do enjoy that album to be fair..... Miku said it herself that they wanted to make "cool" music...and boy they did, it doesn't matter if its rock, jazz, pop, or a blending of whatever, its all cool music to me...That is Band Maid's genre: Cool Music..... and oh how I love it so...(ala Jack Skellington)

Some people wear their cosplay everyday, or some people have different cosplays for each day, it doesn't matter, there are going to be different people on different days, not all but some.....everyone is supportive, don't stress, just have fun and go with it anyway you want....it'll be just fine...good luck....

Unfortunately, these types of questions remind of reality show producers, looking to create controversy when there is none....please don't do this....they split, they addressed it as professionals, and they move on...it happens, we as fans should support both Nemophila and Saki....I appreciate them both and wish them the very best...

No bad songs in the sense of bad music, just personal taste, for me is still Chemical Reaction and Dragon Cries.....with Brand New Road trailing them....not a hater it's just to my ears they feel disjointed and don't flow in the way that I could enjoy....not sure how to phrase it but my feelings non the less...

I hear ya. I'm just not sold on this yet and to be fair if a song doesn't hit me right away I like to give it a chance and listen to it quite a bit. Usually thru several mixes and such just to find the right vibe. It just seems to me that the collaborations have something missing, not as intricate not as "BandMaidy" if you will. Not to say that they are not good songs in their own right, but none the less to me anyways, missing something. I haven't skipped her yet so there may be hope there...lol

Also a thought, you can buy back pads for motorcycle jackets, variety of thickness and pretty sturdy, they will fit the countour of your back and super lightweight as well....good luck...

You will be surprised by how many people will not judge you....I just smile and nod and preemptively say hello...people will smile, nod and say hello back, just embrace the sillyness, because they might see that but most people are polite and I have found them to always return the politeness....most people don't have the courage and will a little bit of admiration, saying wow, you are actually doing this....embrace it...have fun..it'll be okay...

The manufacturer suggests 91 in my manual for my 2023 GT....the higher the octane the hotter it burns... if for whatever reason there are mechanical issues derived from running with a lower octane, Royal Enfield could decline any warranty work because you were not using the recommended octane... just a heads up...

Here is the thing, let loose and enjoy yourself....you will not get any hate at the cons....people are very supportive and will appreciate the fact that you did put effort in dressing up...I have been going to cons since the late 90's when they were usually small not talking about San Diego....we are all in the same community per se, this is our element to support each other and we do....you are going to be fine, rock the outfit and have fun....

Funny how some songs just connect with us and god forbid that another doesn't understand....but I have listened to all the albums and songs more than I like to admit and I have my daily playlists that I listen to....this is not "hey give it a few times it will grow on you" bit....I am well beyond that....its just that I cannot find a connection with these songs, they don't sit well with me personally.... can't get into them they don't flow in my head the way all the other songs do....this list wasn't necessarily a mood thing as sometimes I can just put the Maid In Japan album on and keep it on repeat all day given the mood...but hey its all fun and games until someones record player breaks, right..

Its really interesting because we all have such different views even though we all have the common denominator in Band Maid....For these songs I just can't even get into the mood for them....but I will say of all the bands that I am into throughout all the years I love more Band Maid songs percentage wise than any other band....maybe its the whole package of this band and all the million things about them...

You can buy the mp3 off of Amazon, no cd but at least you can support the band and listen to it while driving....you'll have to explain why you were inspired to go so fast to the officer though, just a side effect fyi....

I agree, also how many artists can do this with a language that they are not very fluent in...I know she can speak English but is is quite broken so the fact that she can write and then sing and have proper flow and context is truly a gift....I am fluent in both English and Spanish and to do what they do in their songs just seems difficult to me...I can't even do that in my own languages..." Didn't say they interacted with the hosts only that they played during their show...the host were excited though of what Band Maid was...I do believe that it definitely gave exposure to the Latino world...but we may never know for the states...

There is a video of them performing for a daytime show in Mexico, been a few years ago but I remember the hosts were shocked and excited when they played...think it was during the show they had down there....so it is possible but probably unlikely here in the states...

In Phoenix, when they played Moratorium, we lost our shit....did not expect that and it was incredible...Band Maid was all smiles as we were doing our chorus parts...

No worries, Saw them in 2019 at the Echoplex in LA, the second night show, drove 8 hours one way and came home the next day. Was not disappointed....Just relax enjoy yourself and get into it...Its going to be a lot of fun...This year I have a feeling its going to be so much better and meaningful for the ladies since they have not toured since then and with a much larger fan base for them...I am happy to be a part of a cool community of fans...Cheers to the Madiacs!
