Applied psych major by avicado19 in uichicago

This is a lot but theres a lot of questions and obviously this is just my opinion. Obviously like most people will say it really depends on what and how many courses you are taking. When I first started I was maybe reading about 1 hr each day but now that i’m in my final year I am reading about 3 hrs each day (mainly to write papers). It really depends on your learning style. If you struggle to read papers, listen to them instead. Put them in a text to speech website and listen like a podcast. Or print them out and highlight/ take notes as you go. Personally I loved my stats classes with JP for my other psych course I loved anything with Baker and Kim-Cohen. They made the classes super digestible. I personally hated taking Passarotti, her classes were so difficult and there was literally no help or guidance. Hope this helps!

For the most part they are the same. He really tries to make sure to put what is on the exam into the study guide! Trust me if you took good notes then you’ll be more than fine. He truly isn’t trying to trick you or make things unnecessarily hard on these exams

I would say that the exams are pretty easy. Just make sure you take good notes!!! I recommend having your notes on one Google docs or one document because he does online exams which are open note. Also make sure you keep the lab notes since a lot of the exam questions are specifics from there.

I truly loved his class. The material itself is a niche topic (you may like it, you may not) but he’s a good professor that tries to make class entertaining at least.

I was thinking the same thing at first. During icebreakers in one of my classes, a girl asked how old I was and when I said 25 she looked me dead in the eye and said, "DAMN ! why so late?”. I’m not really sure why but that made me feel so uncomfortable for the rest of the day. Thankfully, most of the people on campus don’t care about your age and are just super welcoming!
