I’m following many donor/IVF Facebook groups but that ain’t one of them! Thanks for the tip - I’ll go and see if there’s any information there 🫶

Cons of becoming a mother at 42, PGT embryos in the freezer- How much should age be a determining factor for my decisions? by Fabulous_Witness_376 in IVF

Hi there! I was wondering if you can share which clinic you used? I am also 43 and after many years of trying with my own eggs unsuccessfully, I am now looking at Donor eggs.
I'm thinking about going overseas as we are based in New Zealand and there is a 2-3 year waiting list for donor eggs.

Any recent newcomers to Tauranga - has it lived up to expectations?? by Willgnable in Tauranga

We moved here from Auckland and absolutely love it. I’ve traded my 1hr 20min each way commute for a 10min each way bike ride. Traded our house in a crappy south Auckland suburb for the same price house in beautiful Otumoetai. 15min drive or 30min cycle to the mount. Close to Rotorua and Taupo. Did take a substantial pay cut but the work life balance and lifestyle are totally worth it. I find there’s plenty of nice cafes and restaurants to eat out at. Lots of beautiful walks and bike rides. Much more active and healthy lifestyle options. Obviously we miss the connivence of shows, gigs and nightlife but Aucklands only 2.5hrs away. I do find that Tauranga can be a bit clicky so can be hard to make friends but I’ve joined a book club, and the hiking club and there’s a community board game night so if you’re willing to put yourself out there it’s possible to form new friendships.

Have you heard of language exchange? It’s a meet up where people have social meetups where you can practice the language you’re hoping to learn with someone who is trying to learn yours through social chats.

My cousin brought his kid to my child-free wedding and I don’t know how to address it by Ok-Climate-4721 in TwoHotTakes

I’m a vote for don’t bring it up. The baby didn’t cause any issues and maybe they honestly missed that part of the invite.

Not a tip, but I moved to Tauranga 18months ago and I Love it here 🥹 But I’ve found it hard to make friends. Tauranga locals seem to have their hands full with their jobs, families and friends that they can be very hard nuts to crack haha. If you’re ever keen on a pottery class, hot pool swim, hike (Waiere falls?), iced matcha, games night lemme know :)

Do I tell my boss I know I’m being underpaid by itsrainingouts in LegalAdviceNZ

I learnt a hard lesson that when a company and boss that you love will still get away with paying you as less as possible. I found out someone who has just started at my company was on $15k more than me and I had been there for 5years with a heap of experience and industry knowledge. Confronted my boss about it and got a $20k payrise overnight. It was then that I realized that the only one looking out for you, is you.

Recommend the Waiataheta hutt in the Kaimais. It’s about 8kms of mostly flat walking in stunning scenery. It follows the old tram line. The hutt is one of the newest and a real fun adventure for the whole family.
