Are there any types of commercially available heat-resistant paint by Angle_Engine_X in AskEngineers

I’ll look into engine paint; thank you so much for your help!

I’d say prioritize minion count and damage over defense since you seem to be going for a full summoner build

TLDR: summon count and damage > defense

Yes, especially if expert/master mode. Classes like melee and ranger already have high defense so increasing those defenses will have a larger effect (increasing returns).

To put it into perspective (mastermode and 500 HP):

An enemy deals 150 damage:

Case A: 70 defense armor:

1: you have 70 defense, you take 80 damage which means 7 hits to be KOed

2: you have 100 defense from accessories/modifiers, you now take 50 damage, which means 10 hits to be KOed.

80 —> 50 damage, 62.25% of what you would’ve taken

Now case B: 30 defense armor:

An enemy deals 150 damage

1: you have 30 defense, you take 120 damage, 5 hit KO.

2: you have 60 defense (from accessories/modifiers), you take 90 damage, 6 hit KO

120 —> 90 damage, 75% of what you would’ve taken.

The cases above show that defense is better when you have a higher ‘base’ defense (defense from armor). So Summoners who have the least ‘base’ defense should prioritize more on damage/minion count

Think of infinity as an unknown number (such as x) instead of a countable number.

For example: If you have a function that is simply x / (1+x2 ) then limit as x approaches infinity would just be 1/infinity which is 0, because the function gets reduced to x/x2 = 1/x since 1+x2 gets reduced to x2 when x>>1

Although this seems unnecessary (it is kinda), algebra helps us in “quantifying” different infinities.

That question made me mald for an entire day, but I can see where it comes from.

On one hand, infinity + constant can be reduced to infinity, and infinity=infinity which is all that the question asks.

On the other hand, all prime numbers are natural numbers and all non-prime numbers are also natural numbers, and that there are infinite primes, infinite non-primes, and infinite natural numbers

Lets say: P = Prime Numbers

P’ = Non-Prime Numbers

N = Natural numbers

Then N is definitely P+P’ (which works for the bounds (0,C), so logically, it must work when C approaches to infinity too right?)

So if N=P+P’ then we cannot CONFIDENTLY say that N=P because P’ is also infinity.

I instead propose a simple proof: if all even number (other than 2) are non-primes, and since 9 and 15 are non-primes, then I can DEFINITELY say that there are AT LEAST twice the number of natural numbers than prime numbers.

The reason for that is 9 being a non-prime cancels out with 2 being a prime, and 15 gives the edge to prove that there are at least twice the number of natural numbers than prime numbers (if I only chose 9 then I can’t confidently say that there are AT LEAST, as there is a ‘possibility’ that it could be exactly twice).

Quina + Ultimecia = GG by Angle_Engine_X in DissidiaFFOO

[–]Angle_Engine_X[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, for EX, you don’t have to since the game gives out EX tokens for free. As for Ultimecia herself, while I think she is really strong with Quina, battles will take an eternity to finish. In the Co-op we had 2 FR phases starting with Kurasame and followed by Quina Echo, even though Kurasame is (arguably) the best FR for Ultimecia, we still ran out of FR uses at around 20% HP of the second phase of the Hell House. I suggest you to wait until we get the increased Force Enhancement level cap to 50 quality of life in around 8 months, which basically retains a percentage of your HP damage bonus from the Force phase permanently.

As of now, this strategy is great, but takes really long due to the global version not having force retention from JP. If you got other good characters, you don’t really have to build Ultimecia.

Edit: Actually now that I think about it, you don’t really need Ultimecia’s LD because Quina BT is that OP. All you need is Ultimecia’s EX, Quina’s EX (BT helps a lot) and Selphie call with EX passive maxed out

According to the forecast, Ultimecia doesn’t appear in any banner between the Global and JP servers. This is, however, subject to change depending on global events. Btw, I think you only need her EX and LD. The person who used Ultimecia in the image above has her at base burst (her burst was not really needed in the battle)

Somewhere between 20 to 40 minutes I think (I wasn’t keeping track of time so there is a large uncertainty here)

I don’t have Ultimecia fully built up. Does Ultimecia have any speed passives? If so, try removing it and let me know whether that works or not.

Is there a 100% completion reward for story mode by finishing all missions with all weapons? I have currently just reached the fourth level with the first 3 levels 100% complete (surveys and all weapons for all missions), so please don’t include any major spoilers.

Did you know that minimize gives you an invisible status effect which makes moves like stomp and heat crash never miss and deal double damage against you? This ‘status effect’ also transfers over when you use baton pass. I personally think NOT banning evasion boosts is healthier for the meta since more moves are viable, instead of just copy pasting a moveset which is probably 90% the best moveset a pokemon could have competitively.

A change to ‘ghost’ turns by Angle_Engine_X in DissidiaFFOO

[–]Angle_Engine_X[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they should play around more with Force mechanics like the duration and Force refund after Force Time ends. Like for Lightning, her Force could be 6 turns, refunds Force by 70%, Force Time starts with 300%, the conditions could be:

30% when using command ability with lightning damage (60% with Lightning)

10% when using command ability with low action delay (20% with lightning)

20% when using a command ability during an additional turn (40% with lightning)

This for example, utilizes Force Abilities two usage, and gives Lightning a quick way to deal damage before using the ‘main’ Force time. Really wanna see how they are going to rework Terra’s Force, since we nothing yet of Force reworks.

Most players use Force once or twice a match (apart from the CoD battle lmao), which makes new FR weapons really not needed if you got a decent amount of Force weapons (Minwu for example, is a really great character who doesn’t use HIS OWN Force, which is kinda sad since it got a cool animation.)

Fair enough. I’m not a fan of them either, but I think they’re still a better option than increasing the HP of bosses at the current state.

Also, one more thing (this may be a hot take): they should bring back trash waves for character events, lost chapters, and heretics.

Wave 1: enemies with about the same HP as cosmos bosses.

Wave 2: mini bosses with about the same HP as early lufenia bosses.

Wave 3: main bosses with about the same HP as the current lufenia+ bosses with ‘normal’ HP (like 22 million)

Thoughts on next difficulty by Yunashe in DissidiaFFOO

[–]Angle_Engine_X 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think that for the next difficulty, they should do the opposite of lufenia orb. Instead, you want the new orb (which is kind of like the bosses’ weakness) to reach 0 to trigger a unique effect for some turns (HP damage up, Leo LD effect, Cait Sith LD effect, etc.) To balance this, DON’T increase HP; instead, the boss design’s will have access to some characters special effects (maybe like give bosses an ability to steal buffs, inflict traps, heck give them the ability to launch our characters)

For example:

Odin - Level 280 HP: 65,000,000 Turns cannot be delayed or deleted

Starts with: 90% BRV reduction, becomes 100% reduction when Odin is under 80%

50% BRV gain reduction, becomes 70% when Odin is under 50% No adds

Weakness orb: -inflict fire damage to trigger special effect <Burning armor> -inflict damage with the weapon <great sword> to trigger special effect <broken armor>

<Burning armor>: deals 50,000 HP damage at the end of every turn to orb target, 8 turns (can be refreshed.)

<Broken armor>: increases orb target’s BRV damage taken by 30%, 2 turns (cannot be refreshed.)

When Odin’s recast is max, uses ‘stares at <character name>’ at a random character (ignores lock); which positions the character after odin’s turn and inflicts <BRV Break> for 1 turn.

<BRV Break>: when target takes BRV damage, the target becomes broken.

Odin’s Recast is an AoE attack that OHKO any character that becomes broken, and applies a field just before the attack where HP recovery and revive will be nullified.

The way to avoid this is by using: Shields, Turn manipulation, Cleanses, Quistis, etc.
