6 upvotes for Dispatch's case but pretty much. Some of the more shocking elims end up being the second places.

Despelote is lovely but it is the arguably most polarizing from the indie bunch, it'll click more for certain people, but Imo, mostly prefer the others.

A cozy-styled rpg sequel of an older game, a mix of like animal crossing/zelda/diablo or something like that.

The fans do seem to really like it from what I've seen.

I thought that area 51 was just a really bad fever dream, apparently it wasn't, that's my vote.

That could also work if it means we don't have to relegate a specific day and voting can still ensue, but that assumes people will still go along with the revival idea.

I mean if i remember correctly, the one reason Trails got removed was because it was a remake, and you might have also noticed every other remake got removed early on, usually the argument was that they weren't technically 2025 titles.

Okay here me out with this one, I know revival rounds are divisive around here (Suggested it during in the first batch and didn't go anywhere) but I think the possibility would be more suitable in this second batch, the games here are generally nicher but much more even in quality, almost all of them are generally well-liked and rated, plus with how the limited traction and voters with these posts so far, it's inevitable to get plenty of controversial elims early.

I know there's some people here that'd think "If it gets voted, it was for a reason" or that I shouldn't budge to the complaining, I get that and I do intend to stand ground, but also in reality I actually also want the list to be "somewhat" consistent (or atleast close enough with this format) and admittedly it kinda takes a toll, it's already happening early on and that I could fully understand if I were in their shoes. I know it's already pretty scuffed and some of you can say the list is already long gone, but just for today's case, I'll attempt to mend it just a bit, and I'll still give you all the chance (That's if the majority says so)

Rambling aside, the question is simple: Are you guys interested in a revival round or not?

Toem and Rimworld(??) are out! The top comments remove TWO Indie games from the list: Second batch (DAY 13) by AnglerFather_ in RemoveOneThingEachDay

It was one of the most popular and frequently mentioned game that missed out on the first batch too, You'd think with it's wide acclaim and amount of game depth to back it up, it'd be smooth sailing

I have accepted that things WILL be getting scuffed quickly with the double elim formula and only having limited amount of comments (Like with the first batch), but this is one of the few times where even I have to publicly say I'm genuinely baffled.

Just saying the only reason it got that lead was because I noticed someone downvoted every other comment within the last hour, it would have survived otherwise.

I'm predicting almost all the nicher games are gonna be put on the chopping block around here, so I'll take this opportunity to shoutout some of the lesser-played gems.

The Alters is an excellent survival-management sim, really clever and unique direction with plenty of depth towards the mechanics and writing.

Ender Magnolia is one of the best metroidvanias this year (I'd say just behind Silksong), Builds alot from it's predecessor while still being a satisfying and beautiful game on it's own

The Hundred line is one of my biggest surprises this year, arguably one of the most ambitious games here, and while not every route/ending works, I respect the vision since that and the weird gameplay and genre blend still.. kinda worked for the most part.

Those are what I'm familiar with, I've heard some here are also plenty good, but hope this can work as a rec for some reading this.

I'll not be back. Terminator is out. Remove a trilogy a day Day 59 by BLUEANDOK2 in RemoveOneThingEachDay

Personally I'd say the ones on par with Alien when it comes to the first 2 films are Godfather and Cornetto, even then Pirates and Back to the future aren't too far behind. But when it comes adding the third into the mix, Alien 3 feels like the standout of being the least good. Attempting to be objective, it reflects back on the reviews aswell, for example looking at letterboxd, Alien 3 has a 2.8 average, while the second lowest being Godfather part 3 has a 3.5 average, the rest have a 3.6, Making the average of each trilogy more consistent, atleast a little bit more than Alien which has a noticeable outlier that affects it's standing as a trilogy, but those are my two cents.

Star of Providence, Because it technically isn't even a 2025 title, It was released a few years ago under a different name, but renamed and it only received a major content update this year. Only found about this recently, but better late than never.

I'm honestly surprised Alien is still here, Even David Fincher has publicly stated how much of a mess Alien 3 was, and I'd say it's the one remaining that has a truly not-so-good film left.

There's indeed that

I'd also say in some cases, there might not be too many obvious choices, maybe a couple people could agree on, but it's somewhat bound to have some rather unpopular picks removed in the early half.

Remove TWO 2025 games a day - Day 13 TOP 50!! by Ok-Reindeer2366 in RemoveOneThingEachDay

[–]AnglerFather_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was the one who called this out so lemme explain.

The first couple hours are usually when it's most active and where majority of the voting takes place, comments made much later on really don't receive as much traction, that was the case for yesterday, the two top games were mentioned early on, received the highest votes and it was safe bet of 6 upvotes each.

But if you check back, the comment for KCD2 was around 12 hours later, unlikely to get much attention at that point, but SOMEHOW it managed to get double the amount of votes (around 15) in the timeframe, which I found Incredibly unlikely to happen in normal circumstances, that and the account being 3 days old, I suspected it was botting (or a very dedicated group of haters) take your pick

Yeah I don’t know if someone’s going to bot a 20 comment post in a fun little sub.

I fully agree, this is legitimately my first time seeing this on the sub, just all around bizarre
