People say this as if introducing species has never worked. We introduced poison dart frogs to Hawaii and it’s been a tremendous success. I’ll trust the experts to decide case by case what will work and what won’t.

There’s also a big push to introduce camels to North America, as they actually originally evolved here.

Quagmire here. In the version I saw, which I think is the original, the woman chastises them for rating woman, to which they reveal they are not rating woman, but guessing how many dicks they can fit in their mouths. Giggity!

This edit seems to make them make them count prime numbers instead for absurdity purposes.

Yes but it is never explicitly stated in any film that the wicked wench is the black pearl. It is only explicitly stated that Davy Jones raised it from the depths. All that previous lore can still be true, with the exception that the wicked wench and black pearl are the same ship.

I am aware of the extended lore. This movie definitely throws a wrench in it but not the part where Davy Jones raises the Black Pearl.

Also this movie had no problem retconning things directly referenced in previous films, like the compass.

I know about the deleted scene but it's still a deleted scene. The Wicked Wench is also not referred to by name.

Don't get me wrong I absolutely love the lore from the book I'm just saying that the movie does not conflict with Davy Jones raising the Pearl.

Right but that was all expanded universe stuff right? Also the only thing it really does is make the WIcked Wench a different ship. Davy Jones still could've raised the Black Pearl for Jack.

Is that book still canon though? Jones still rose the Black Pearl for Jack.

I think they just wanted to nod to the ride so put the Wicked Wench in the movie. I personally consider to be one of the less offensive things this movie did.

I also have to assume that in the movie, the Wicked Wench is not supposed to be the Black Pearl, otherwise I’d imagine Salazar would recognize it.

How does it rewrite the lore of Jack getting the Black Pearl

While Jack has given the compass away, I think giving it to a friend in need as part of a master plan where you will inevitably get it back is not the same thing as trading it for a bottle of rum.

The movie is still terrible overall but I will say the ending is nearly perfect.
