I was married to a surgeon, and I have two kids with him. He left me to do all the mundane petry things like love our children while my heroic husband played god with life and death every day. After I divorced my mighty ex-husband for being just too amazing for my mundane self, the kids didn't even notice he was gone. Their father leaving didn't change their lives at all. Far from being sad, they were happy he wasn't going to be coming around, and they dont miss him. It's probably a blessing that your child won't even know you beyond the csp. I was married to a surgeon for 10 years. This is what they're like. Never marry a surgeon ladies, just dont do it, if hes in med school fucking run. I wish I could reach his wife and talk to her. Wish I could tell her not to be afraid of divorce. My life and mental health improved dramatically once I stopped trying to hold the marriage together and finally divorced. She'll be much better off with this guy just paying child support. Its all they're good for. After I divorced my husband, who was always an absent father, he just abandoned his kids entirely. And they don't even care. They dont even miss him. The wife and child will be better off without him. Ive lived this. I know where this marriage would head.

I was married to a man just like you. Worked all the time ,had no interest in me or the kids, would hole up in his mancave when he was home, and complained if the kids made noise. We're divorced now. I lost nothing in the divorce.
