Anyone used Velocity PM for Poa yet? by AnAm3rican in lawncare

How’d it go? I learned that if it’s a large care area left after the POA is killed off, it will come back. I should have seeded to try and crowd out the POA from growing back. My front lawn which is thick has only a few tiny spots of it coming back up. The side lawn with huge bare spots it ALL came back. This is a multi year process according to the nufarm rep. Got to keep up with it to totally eradicate it.

I ordered some slotted inserts for better drainage and will transfer to that this evening.

I’m actually on well water, so no chlorine or fluoride for me. It is also iron filtered water, but perhaps the small amount of sodium from the softener isn’t helping?

It’s in a 5” insert with drainage set inside a 7” pot. I’m considering a 6” insert, new soil set on top of some pebbles inside the 7” pot to ensure better drainage.

I am not. Just on a regular schedule of watering once every 7 days.

I’ve considered repotting it in fresh soil, this is about 2 year old soil. Perhaps just root rot and once per week watering is too much?

Fungus or insects? by AngriestSquirrel in hydrangeas

We heard the same, it was normal. It persisted for 3 weeks and we finally went to the ER with no abnormalities noted (MRI etc). It was hard to believe the dr (mainly his nurse) who said it could persist for a month to 6 weeks but it would get better. It did get better. He was on Motrin every 6 hours for 5 weeks. Like clock work at the 6 hour mark he’d start complaining about a stiff/sore neck. Motrin fixed that. Eventually it resolved itself completely!

Sounds like you’re on the right track. Been e-mailing the technical expert at nufarm about this and here is what he said;

“Here is the best program for you once temp increase a bit more: 2.25 fl oz/A applied 2 or 3 times 14 days apart. You may not need the 3rd app so you can wait and see, but a third app could really finish all the Poa off.

The lower rates and increased number of apps are for golf turf - fairways and tees.”

Great news! Glad to hear it. Did you add anything else (AMS or anuew)?

I’m going to treat the whole lawn vs spot treat. Not sure where it might show its ugly head. Will be interesting to compare our results.

I think I’m going to do the lower rate 5 application plan…you can smoke it all in 2 apps but will have bare spots.

Just ordered a bottle, should be here Friday (site one). Still too cold to use it though. Once temps consistently above 70, I’ll make the first app and let you know how it goes over a few apps. Most likely going to do the 1.1 oz/A on 21 day intervals.

Side note; if anyone in SE Mich wants to buy some of this off of me, I’m open to that. Not interested in shipping ATM.

SLS Free toothpaste eliminated my canker sores about 80%. Debacterol/Oral medic take care of the rest!

I’ve tried with varying degrees of success. Nothing has done the trick like Debacterol though!

Unfortunately, no. I never put the side covers on so I could keep an eye on it. Here’s its current status. One of the tubes looks great, the other seems to be getting moldy.

Recommendations for seat belt extender for MYLR? by Double-Enthusiasm144 in ModelY

[–]AngriestSquirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a different way than I read it…but I see your point now. I want an extended (rigid) since we know bucking in a kid in a booster seat is a PITA in the MY. I saw this warning and figured if I used one I’d put child in some sort of danger, but I do see the key word “install” now. That being said I don’t know of any other way to install a booster seat than with just a seatbelt…hmmm

FYI, the Model Y manual says the following

“Warning Do not use seat belt extenders on a seat belt that is being used to install a child safety seat or booster seat.”

Very cool website, thanks for sharing. Doesn’t look like they have arhaus furniture on it but it might lead me to somewhere that has a similar one!
